Randy's Island Glass

Work was done in timely manner and is alright. However when I went to pick up the piece of glass in my convertible, I asked them to wrap it in something so I could safely transport the $75 piece of glass home. I was incredulous that they could not wrap a piece of glass in something. I asked to speak to the owner, who wasn't there. I asked for him to call me and said I was going to review them on Angie's list. On my way home I received a call from Randy the owner who was extremely rude and told me I was unreasonable to expect a fragile piece of glass to be wrapped for safe transport. He then repeatedly called me a" cry baby". I told him where he could go and hung up. Had we not been without a glass for our coffee table for 3 weeks waiting for the remolderer to fix it, I would have turned around and returned the glass.

Randy's Island glass was recommended by other's in my complex. At first I was hesitant and thought I should go with bigger companies. I did call them for a quote, and Randy came by promptly. He explained a lot about window code (I am less then a mile from the golf and a lot of hurricane code applies). He explained that code changes were up coming and also discussed why one style of window would work vs. another (a discussion the big box sales rep. really wasn't effective in having).

The quote provided by Randy's Island Glass beat other quotes I had received by a lot. At my request they provided me with the names of other customer's who had had the same windows installed. Their feedback on Randy's Island glass was excellent and they raved about the quality of the windows.

I went ahead and placed the order. The contacts in the office handled everything from there including getting approvals from my condo association, getting permits (which had to be pulled prior to upcoming code changes), I simply informed them when I would be available for the install and they scheduled accordingly.

The windows were installed on the agreed to date. The installers did a wonderful job. They covered everything in the work area, and conducted themselves very professionally. I had one issue with the screens, and the office indicated they would address with the supplier (their error) and get them replaced.

Overall this was a excellent experience working with a company that I may not have selected if someone had not recommended them. I pass that on and would highly recommend working with Randy's Island Glass for your window needs.
