Buyer beware!! Do not hire this company. Paul is awesome until you have paid and then he is gone and non responsive. Unit has no way to clean out the drain. He would not answer my calls and texts so I had to hire another ac company to clear out the water. They had to saw through the pipe as the unit has no way to access the drain. Now I find out a year and a half later that he never pulled a permit. Are you kidding me???? As he won?t return my calls I now have to figure out how to get a permit on my own. For $7000 this is not acceptable or professional!

The owner Paul and his crew went way above expectations for the replacement of two of my air conditioners. I would. Definitely recommend this contractor to do any air conditioning work at a fair rate compared to most larger companies And there was no comparison from polar bear to other companies charging double or more..

We are very happy with how smooth Polar Bear Air made the installation of our new air conditioner. We scheduled a time for him to provide us with a quote- he was on time. He scheduled a date for installation and the technician was right on time. The technician was courteous and knowledgeable.

I knew I was going to have to replace my very old central air conditioning unit and had taken bids almost a year and a half ago, yet I was putting it off for financial reasons. When my old unit finally quit working last week I decided to go ahead and replace it rather than try to fix it. I called Paul at Polar Bear Air and he had a crew out the very next day. Upon inspection it was decided I need all new ductwork. The old ductwork was falling apart, and was not delivering cold air to different parts of the condo. The installer, Matt worked tirelessly over the next two days installing the ductwork in our very hot attic. And replaced the units inside and out. When I asked if there was a way I could finance half of the expense, as the ductwork put me over budget, Paul arranged financing through a company within ten minutes of my request. Living in very cool surroundings now thanks to Polar Bear! I would highly recommend them to anyone needing HVAC work in the Ft. Myer, Cape Coral, Naples

Polar Bear Air and Paul Abbott & Sons. LLC I find myself again needing to address complaints with Charlotte County Permitting and the Department of Professional Regulation in Tallahassee against you and your companies for work that has not been completed to code and lack of final inspection for permit on installation. Timeline: 1.) Unit originally installed February 2022 without a permit or commencement filed. 2.) April 2022 this was brought to the attention of Paul Abbott Working under Polar Bear Air. 3.) Paul Abbott had to be licensed in Charlotte County to do business. License was issued 07/29/2022 under the name Paul Abbott & Sons LLC. 4.) Inspection failed August 1, 2022. 5.) Complaints filed with Polar Bear Air July 2022 with Charlotte County and the Florida Department of Professional Regulation. 6.) Owner of Polar Bear Air William Wilson Contacted us and assured us that Mr. Abbott would correct deficient issues. 7.) Abbott & Sons insurance to work in Charlotte County expired July 24, 2023 8.) The breaker was replaced/added and other deficient work was completed due to inspection failure. 9.) September 2022 Error alarm on thermostat. 10.) Under the warranty parts were replaced. 11.) Still working on final inspection for permit. 12.) March 30, 2023, while at permitting on another matter, it was learned thru them that we still had an open permit for the AC needing final inspection. May â June 2023 we started noticing spots on garage drywall ceiling under the AC handler that hangs in the garage and connects inside the attic to the house vent system. 13.) This system was installed, and pieces cut and built at the time of the installation. There was a cost discussion, and it was found that since the extra vent could not be installed in the master bath, these monies would pay for the building of the boxes that connect to the duct work. 14.) It is at this built connection that moisture is leaking from the unit, the connection in the attic duct work and permeating the garage ceiling. 15.) All Black Mold. 16.) Pictures were taken and sent to Abbott & Sons July 31, 2023. 17.) We have timeline of pictures taken prior to July 31, 2023, up to August 30, 2023. Mr. Abbott states mastic is the fix, but this will not abate the black mold that has grown exponentially in our attic and ceiling. Abbott & Sons has not corrected the expired permit. Abbott & Sons have not had a final inspection completed. Abbott & Sons have not filed a commencement of work. Work was completed enough to pass inspection, but system still not installed correctly. We had to Hire Boyd's Brother's to correct for an extra $3300. Paul Abbott nor William Wilson will return our calls or attorney's calls and certified letters. BE WARE DOING BUISINESS WITH PAUL ABBOTT; HIM AND HIS "LADS" DO HORRIBLE WORK.

I needed to replace a central A/C unit and requested quotes from several contractors. Paul at Polar Bear was very quick to respond and to come out and provide a quote. His quote was significantly lower than all of the other quotes that I received. When I called the other contractors back to let them know that their quote was significantly higher than the best quote that I got, they adjusted their quotes and still were significantly more expensive than Polar Bear. Installation was done promptly, just in time for a heat wave. Overall very satisfied.

Paul was great! He arrived (within an hour), quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. I will definitely call Polar Bear Air the next time I need service on my air conditioning system.

We called many air conditioning companies and by far Paul responded quickly. He came that day as in Florida we needed immediate help. Two other companies had come before him with outrageous costs and a longer time out. His cost was reasonable. Paul started and finished the job within one day as promised.
