Would never hire this company or refer to anyone. Not happy with the job, left holes where they nailed in 1×2 on the roof due to the pitch while installing shingles. Now we have leaks all in straight lines where they nailed in the 1×2s. They also never installed the gutters they included on the contract and our son stepped on one of there 100 nails they left behind. Since this was completed few months before hurricane Ian, good luck getting them to fix the leaks.

I've used Marlin for two of my homes. Crews were terrific and I was amazed how neat and clean they maintained the job site through the process. Office staff and Denise my project Manager were in communication with me and attentive to our needs. I would refer them to anyone in need of a roofing project.

Worst company I would not recommend anyone to hire these people. They were only looking for the insurance money and now I am being sued.

Do not go with this company. They are very unprofessional and shady. Our friend recommended them to us because she received a free roof due to storm damage. We contacted them and they told us the same thing. They would get the insurance company to pay for a complete new roof and we would not have to pay the deductible. The first contact my husband signed did not mention the deductible when he reviewed it. But then they asked him to sign electronically a second contract since we are out of town. My husband did not read this one and signed it. Only after they put the roof on did we find out we owed for the deductible. They switch the contract on us and screwed us over. They also took three months to complete the work which was ridiculous. We found out a couple months later they put a lien on our house. We contacted a lawyer since they were threatening to sue us. We tried many times to settle with them but now they want even more money. Our lawyer has reached out to them and their lawyer but they will not call us back or work with us. Save yourself a lot of money and headaches by going to a different company.

It was perfect. They were really good at communicating. They were easy to work with.

Marlin did a great job on my roof. Crews were fast and clean up was better than I could’ve ever imagined. My project manager Denise Martinez was so helpful and stopped in various times during construction work to make sure everything was moving along as planned. All of my questions and concerns were always answered promptly by the office. I am still in complete awe of how they helped me get my roof replaced through my insurance company. I have recommended Denise M. to many friends and families and all are as happy as I am. 5 star company!

They did a wonderful job they completed the job in a timely manner. Everything was on schedule. I would recommend them to my friends and family. Wonderful people to work with. Great job well done.

It was a long process as we went through the insurance but the work once started and completed was a smooth process and the roof looks great.

Marlin Construction in 3 days placed a new roof on my home. Their complete staff and Denise Martinez are awesome. Very happy with their work.

Revoked from better business bureau in September 2020 need I say more. I Just wish I knew this prior to my contract with them. A bunch of shysters from the begining. Kris Rossman was my sales person ,decietful, cunning and a Liar . What a smooth talker but all lies out of his mouth!!!!. I was told my insurance will cover we don't need to take pictures or look around. you have an active leak they have to cover it. That was the first lie ! Meanwhile the company put a tarp in the wrong location on my roof. ( I got my own financing and a new cash contract where I chose my colors and went over what was going to be done during this time ). Here enters Bethany the production manager . She was rude and said her company wouldn't move the tarp because my insurance wouldn't pay and I already owe them 500.00 . I let her know that I had financing and if that's not good enough I would find another company. At that time she informed me that I would be responsible for 20% of the contract. The started the job 2 days later. I came home the first day to the wrong color drip edge and damage in several locations to my soffits. Bethany was nasty and rude to me about replacing it. Absolutely said no that I chose that color. She told me they went off the first contract that shows no roof color or drip edge color. which again lies! I chose that at the second meeting when I signed for financing both the shingle color and drip edge. Just lies! How did they know what color to chose then!!! I wanted to speak to the owner and I was threatened that my situation would be worse with the owner! He would not replace his mistake either only would offer to paint it because it's to expensive to replace. The job failed the first inspection and I was asked to release funds over and over prior to being completed . I would not do it. They still had to fix the drip edge, damage and the ceilings to do! a few months later finally a handyman hired by the company called to schedule. He painted the drip edge, fixed the damaged soffits and patched the ceiling in my living room. He stated the company will not pay for the garage ceiling section that was suppose to be done. Chris started to contact me again saying the work is completed and it isnt. threatened that the owner will put a lien on my house if I dont! This has been a nightmare to say the least! I paid out of fear that I would have a lien on my home. this is how they do business. You can see for yourself how they treat their customers on better business bureau! My recommendation is to keep looking for another company this one is the worst of the worst!

Marlin settled my insurance claim in 1 month, and replaced my roof in 3 days. The only thing I paid was my $1,000 deductible, and $170 for 2 sheets of plywood. Yes I had to pay for my plywood because insurance didn’t cover it. But come on, I only paid $1,170 for a $24,000 roof! Who would complain about that?!

Marlin Construction Group's attorney successfully obtained a 60 K settlement from our insurance company for the replacement of the tile roof due to hurricane damage. Marlin received the full proceeds directly from the insurance company. The home has 1744 SF with a seven panel pool heating solar system. The solar system had a six year remaining warranty for the solar panels, including complete labor to replace the solar panels if needed, without additional service charges. Marlin's roof estimate was to replace the roof included removing and replacing the pool heater solar panels. The Marlin roof crew destroyed the solar system during the removal of the cement roof tile. Marlin sent the first solar company to reinstall the panels, the solar company reported the damage. Marlin sent t a second company and was told the system was damaged and the panels had to be replaced. Both companies told us that the panels were damaged and Marlin should have had a solar company remove the panels to prevent the damage. Marlin Construction has refused to reimburse us for the damaged solar panels. We selected Marlin Construction due to their membership with both Florida's BBB and Angie"s List.

In oct of 2019 i signed contract and direction of pay marlin NEVER received insurance approval they are now suing me$6,084 in lue of release on my own insurance this has been going on 10+mos. as a homeowner do not sign these things dont assume there is a law to protect you or agency I have tried dbpr / ftc trust you will need a judges signature they will say its civil -contact me for more details -just google for my info I didnt know any better at the time and did not have representation when I signed let any contractor just write you an estimate PLEASE dont do what I did and get wrapped up into a bad situation

STORM CHASERS - STAY FAR AWAY FROM MARLIN CONSTRUCTION! Worst experience of my life dealing with this company. Rude and dishonest people. Very poor communication will have you waiting for months at a time to hear back from them. My advice is to go with any other roofing company in the area.

Terrible!!!! Do not use this company!!!! They ruined stucco on our house and they refuse to fix it!! The owner is very rude with foul language to us when we approached him. Didn't respond for one month and half to address the problem, and when he did, he was rude and used foul language with us. This is not a good company. When looking for a roofer, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Hope this helps someone else the headache we have!!

The roof was done very quickly. Two days! Their office communication is the problem. The person that I dealt with left the company, so they dropped the ball on communication. After the project was done I was sent an invoice that was not the contract amount. I sent in a check for the balance of the contract. A month later I was called and told to pay $600 dollars and if I didn’t they were going to put a lien on my house. The owner called (Dave), he swore at me, he said I am a liar and hung up on me. He sent an email to me with a new bill for four pieces of plywood at $85 dollars apiece. Plywood cost $10 dollars a sheet. I sent the $340 dollars. The company subcontracts all the work out, so no one from the company oversees the project or speaks English. If they did they would know what I should have been billed at. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!???

Tyler from Marlin came over in August 2019 and wrote the contract to replace our roof. He wrote the contract for $23,000 and that included replacement of all soffit, fascia, and gutters. My insurance paid $18,000 up front. It was finally finished in late November after many calls. Now they want to charge me $14,000 more!!! I am happy to pay the difference but I will not pay them more! That is what contracts are for. Now they are threatening me. One owner Dave called and threatened to send Mexicans to sit on my roof, eat tacos and tear my shingles off! What kind of people are these guys? Rude, lying, and racist! Do not use this company!!!

We were approached when we were in our yard by a 'door to door salesman'. Insisting our roof had issues. He could just tell! We should tell our insurance company a storm had damaged it. They'd cover it, etc. They were very pushy, wanted us to sign over any insurance money to them. Denied it, despite paperwork stating it would indeed be signed over to them. Told us that it was just mumbo jumbo. That we didn't need a physical copy of anything. BBB had some reviews confirming our thoughts, so we told them to leave. Very rude when we kept telling them no thank you. Our roof had recently been inspected by another company and by a home inspector 2 months prior when we purchased the home. Both deemed it in perfect shape after an in depth inspection. Marlin's on the ground "expert" deemed it ready to fail. Some reviews on here seem to be written by the same person. I.e writing style, punctuation. So buyer beware.

The reason for my last review was a shake up in the office with a person leaving. After contacting the right person, my problem was corrected imediatly

The roof was put on in a timely manner and it looks very good. This my observations

the did what they were going to do, in a timely fashion, adhered to schedule, cleaned up after themselves. made it feel like their own house

Mike Moon had made a point to be available to meet with the adjuster. We got approved for our new roof. They were able to meet up their promise. He told us exactly what to expect about the service. Everything was just great. The guys were polite and clean. They left the job site as clean as most as it should be. I was impressed across the board with everything.
