Stone Slab Countertops - Install (Granite, Marble, Quartz, etc)
$1,100
We started with guest bath replacement of our vanity counter with quartz. Beautiful! So nice that we decided to do both of the main bath vanity counter tops, and then also the laundry room counter top. All with quartz. These are professionals from initial contact onsite to pick a material, on thru precise measurement at my home, and then easy install. We prep and remove plumbing and loosen existing countertops beforehand, but they will do this if necessary. Appropriate holes for faucets, soap dispensers are drilled onsite upon arrival. No mess, no fuss. They clean up before departure and leave the new counter clean. Highly recommend their workmanship and I believe they are fairly priced.

My god these guys don’t have a clue how to treat customers. Please please please don’t use them. If your house isn’t new construction and your cabinets are perfectly level, they cannot think on the fly or troubleshoot with you. If you’re hiring this company for expertise in adding counters to your kitchen, they can’t do that. If you have a new construction build and it’s a perfect set up, then they could possibly be ok. I have a house built in the 50’s. If you have anything but perfection (level of your floors, walls behind the counter, cabinets, et centera. Absolute perfect angles. Look elsewhere. They can’t adapt

I cannot say enough good things about this company. They care about the Quality of their work which seems to be rare in South West Florida.
They are a Certified Caesar Stone Installer that actually follows the Caesar stone guidelines. They also used the Caesar Stone recommended Integra Colors for seams. The Integra is a little harder to work with and takes a bit more time IF the installer is not skilled in the process. However IMEX is very skilled and the seams went smooth and quick with outstanding results...you cannot even see them except in rare lighting conditions if you look very hard and know where to look.
Many installers will want to just custom "color match" which means adding dye to a clear seeming compound. The quality of the match is purely dependent on the materials used and the installers ability and willingness to put in the time and effort to get a proper match.
Why do I know so much about these details like color match?

Because the 1st Ceasar stone certified contractor did not follow the Ceasar Stone guidelines. The Other Company 1)scratched the stone in transportation 2)Burnt the edges of the stone when they were trying to polish (this resulted in a white haze on the polished edges 3)Did such a poor custom color match that you could see the seams from across the room 4) Chose poor seam placement 5)Attempted to splice in a 1/2 filler piece because the size of one slab was off when installed.
This Other Company was given the opportunity to fabricate new slabs using Ceasar Stone certification guidelines or return my money. They chose to return my money.

So be kind to yourself and choose IMEX if you want a quality install at a fair price the 1st time. I will be using them on another job in the near future.

We are very happy with our Cambria quartz countertops in our kitchen and bathrooms.  Quartz doesn't need sealing and its very hard to chip it and it has clean smooth lines.  Best of all, its non porous so no bacteria can form on it like granite. We can spill water/wine/etc. on our counter top and no staining.  By far better choice than granite.  We chose Torquay pattern for our kitchen and guest bath and kitchen backsplash AND Ella pattern for our master bath.   We can't say enough about how pleased we were with the service from Imex Stone. Paul was always on top of the project and when they scheduled the work, they showed up on time.  The installation was uneventful and that's a good thing. I would choose Imex Stone in a heart beat if we needed more quartz countertops.    But this stuff is going to last a lifetime.
I found Imex Stone on Angie's List and what prompted me to choose them for my work is they were rated highly and there estimates were reasonable.  Great job IMEX!

That night, another contractor was at my home and I mentioned to him that I was getting water stains. He said that was normal because it was porous. I left it at that. The next day I contacted IMEX and advised them that the water was seeping through and again they advised me it was because the material was porous. I demanded someone come out and seal the granite because to me, it had not been sealed. They made an appointment for early March to come back and seal the granite. When they arrived, they took care of it. It is still not to my satisfaction but at that point I left it as is. I have been dealing with so many other disappointments in my kitchen remodeling experience that I was just too tired to mention anything again.

  • Imex stone sent out David to come measure and give us an estimate for installing new granite in our kitchen. My wife and I felt very comfortable with David and their prices were very competative. Also we met him over at Triton Stone to pick up our granite. We ended up going with a level 2 stone. It was a little more expensive than the level 1 but it was well worth it. I'm very satisfied with the way our kitchen came out. After out granite was installed we also had it sealed almost immediately. We had Bryan from Hydrosheild come over and seal the granite. that was also anther great experience. I'm very satisfied with David, Bryan, and team Imex I will definitely recommend them in the future.

From start to finish, the project was interesting and a pleasant experience. David provided a fair price and was able to show me plenty of stone choices. The stone I chose was perfect for the project and even unique. It was expertly prepared and installed. When there was a small problem with the backsplash installation, the template preparer was called in and the project was completed in a timely fashion. I couldn't be more pleased with the result.  I chose this company based on their Angie's List A-rating, and my recommendation now goes forward. If you want to work with a boutique-type stone company, this is it. The staff at IMEX is completely businesslike, appropriate, easy to work with and make a potentially stressful situation interesting and fun. Call them, you WILL not be disappointed.  Thank you IMEX.

The owner of IMEX Stone, Lynn Viana, was very helpful in picking out the granite for our kitchen and bathrooms. She also showed us different sink models for our bathrooms which was very helpful. Lynn's husband and a helper came to our house and made a templet of the kitchen counter top and measured the other counter tops. We were worred that they would have to put a seam in the bar top because it is so long, but much to our surprise they were able to cut the stone so there is no seam. The crew did an excellent job of cutting, shaping, and polishing the stone to give it that WOW look. One of the bathroom sinks had a flaw in it. Lynn came to our house to look at it and ordered a new sink. Within a few days they replaced the flawed sink with a new one. Overall we are very happy with the quality of workmenship, the attention to details and the professionalism of the company and the employees.
