Hurricane Safe installed accordion shutters on all my windows and remote controlled electric fabric roll downs on my lanai this week. The installers exceeded my expectations in all aspects of the installation process including promptness, quality of the installation, communication etc.. I would HiGHLY recommend Hurricane Safe to anyone considering hurricane protection for their home. The finished product looks awesome and the price was more than competitive in comparison to other quotes I received.

This is a great company to use. We were seeking hurricane qualified screens in the lanai to protect it but also to provide partial shade by cranking them down in the sunlight. We had been through extensive talks with another company and become concerned about the quality of the screens they offered. In our contact with Hurricane we came to understand the importance of using Dupont fiber. We contracted with them for that and for the shutters on the second floor. The two person install team was excellent, accomplishing the work in two days and leaving the interior clean. The home office was equally good to work with, as we adjusted the initial bid when deciding not to put shutters on parts of the first floor. Their marketing guy is terrific in explaining the differences and showing you the ways to install shutters and screens.

The shutters look great on the house and are easy to use. Hurricane Safe Shutters was very responsive and professional from the time I first contacted them for a quote through the installation. I only had 1 issue with them - cleanup. They had to do a lot of drilling and cutting of the metal shutters and frame work on site, leaving a tremendous amount of metal shavings behind, along the outside of the house, inside the lanai, front porch and on the shutters themselves. I expected them to vacuum them up on the lanai and front porch, but they just used a leaf blower to blow them into the lawn with all the other metal shavings they created. Now a dangerous place for people to be walking, especially in sandals and flipflops, not to mention getting stuck in the bottom of shoes and brought indoors. Plus the lanai was freshly painted recently and now the floor is all scratched up from them walking on the metal shavings.

DJ came over and gave me an estimate around a month after Irma. He had worked in my community before, and drove me over to look at two other jobs his company had done. We ultimately went with a combination of accordion shutters on two large windows, a roll down screen on the lanai and panels for the remainder of the windows and front door. A competitor had quoted me a price over $5,000 higher the week before, using comparable materials. The job was done on schedule, and the installers did a great job. I couldn't be more pleased. Highly recommended.

HSS installed accordion shutters on all windows (20) except one that required a roll down, and panels for the front door. The installation was quick and all the shutters worked perfectly except one that was difficult. They corrected that one right away. I liked that the accordions were thicker gauge than others but particularly, I liked the solid locking bars that kept them tight when open or closed. The shutters looked far better than I expected.

DJ from Hurricane Safe Shutters came at appointed time to give estimate of how much it would cost to get new accordion shutters for my home. DJ thoroughly went over different options and pricing. He showed me and had samples of what the shutters would look like on the house. He gave me a total price for the installation that was approx. $500 cheaper than other shutter company estimates. I felt Hurricane Safe had the best shutters on the market at a cost considerably lower than the competitions. The installer from the company came at the scheduled time. He was professional, friendly and courteous. He did a great job of installing the shutters and cleaned up around the windows and doors where the shutters were installed. After installation he showed me how to open and close the shutters. I am very pleased with the results.

DJ was our sales person. He arrived on time and gladly went over all options for our lanai. Explained thoroughly the materials used in their products and the reasons why. We interviewed a total of 3 companies and hands down DJ with Hurricane Safe Shutters got our vote. They had the BEST price, along with just a better product and warranty. We chose the accordion shutters for our very large lanai and also a separate sliding door entrance also on the lanai. Our front door was done too. Within 2 weeks the job was done and blends in seamlessly with our lanai color scheme. Actually you don't even notice them, which was a concern of mine. I am a very particular person and from start to finish it was a pleasure doing business with this company. Nice knowing the house is now hurricane safe. Have to give DJ credit, because he was the reason we chose Hurricane Safe Shutters. He delivered as promised. Highly recommend this company.

I got four bids for Miami-Dade grade hurricane panels. Hurricane Safe was the last. I told him I wanted the heavier gauge Miami-Dade panels. Waylon, the owner, gave me a price when he visited which was substantially lower than the other bids. I was surprised and pleased. He wrote up an order and I made a down payment.
The panels were installed yesterday which was three weeks later than promised. Today a salesman of entry doors was at my house and pointed out that my panels were Florida Building Code grade. I checked the contract and there indeed is no mention of Miami-Dade grade material.
I cannot fault the employee who measured or the three man crew that did the installation; they were all polite and professional.
It is my fault for not reading the contract carefully before signing. I would only warn prospective customers to not be taken in by a skilled, fast talking salesman. Read the contract and make certain you are getting what you want.

This is the code that every new constructed home built in Lee, Collier and Charlotte must comply with. Our salesman was DJ. He was very nice not pushy and knowledgeable. I had a few other companys come out from the Cape Coral/Fort Myers area for an estimate and Hurricane Safe Shutters was the best price overall. The time we spent with DJ, he focused on explaining his product and the durability where other companies wasted my time doing nothing but showing me why I shouldn't buy from another company. We are very happy with our accordion shutters and window panels. It was all installed correctly with no issues. The installers were very nice, knowledgeable and did a excellent job installing everything. Everything we had installed is of very high quality and the accordion shutters are a compliment to our Lania area. The office staff are extremely nice also. With no doubt, this is the company to go with if you're are shopping for hurricane protection in the Cape Coral area.

The service was excellent. They came two different times and it went well. What stood out was the quality of the products. They came on the day they said and they cleaned up.
