Gutstein, Dr. David M. MD, PA

Dr. Gutstein has an impeccable manner and while direct, is friendly and outgoing.  He only believes in doing what is medically necessary and is careful and methodical in his treatment of his patients.  His staff is both friendly and efficient and the experience with this physician puts him on my short list of the best digestive specialists in SW Florida.

On the day in question, I arrived at Lee Island Coast  for the procedure.   From the outset, I was totally blown away by the professional, competent and caring service I received at the center.    The staff could not have been more concerned for my comfort and safety.    The facility was spotless. 
Every procedure was carefully explained to me and they insured that I understood and was comfortable with each.   I was provided with very comfortable suitable garments to be worn.  After my prep, my wife joined me until it was time for the  procedure.  
The last thing I remembered was being wheeled into the operating room, greeted by Dr. Gutstein,  and someone asking me "What is your favorite restaurant?    Before I could think of an answer, I was already blissfully asleep and the next thing I knew, I awoke in the recovery room where I was again greeted by the caring staff.   Shortly afterward, my wife rejoined me and Dr. Gutstein arrived to ensure that I was feeling ok and advised that everything had gone well, gave me his early observations  and told me his office would call in a few days to review any findings.   He instructed me to call him immediately should I have any problems or concerns, but there were none. As promised, I was contacted a few days later,  advised that all tests had gone well and to check in again in 5 years.  Sounded great to me!!!!
I would most highly recommend both Dr. Gutstein and the Lee Island Coast Surgical Center.

overall the whole experience from the first office appt to the last ofc appt and the 2 procedures in between were about as close to perfect as u can get...and believe me...I had the endo first in april....u can bet that if that was not a good experience I would of found another doctor who was in my plan....there are plenty of them...to do my colonoscopy....but no one other then dr. gutstein was going to do it!

He is wonderful. He saved my friend's life. He is a wonderful diagnostician and his bedside manner is really good.
