I interviewed him to determine his qualifications. OK. Asked his rate: $45/hr. He came to see the job and said he could do it. I said OK at your rate of $45/hr. He said $100 to do a job that took less that 2 hrs. When I asked why? He said well I have to pay for gas and the fee for Home Advisor. I was not happy with bate and switch. His work was very acceptable, just his switch.

"During phone conversation I responded that I charge $45 an hr when I work by the hour. I drove 35 minutes to his adress. Customer had 2 cabinets that needed to be joined together, back needed to be cut out for plumming and custom rip a filler strip. Equipment set up was in the parking lot and customer was on the 6th floor. I looked at the work and said I can do it now for $100.00. Customer asked why so much I then explained how much I already invested in his potential job. He could have said no. After gas and HA fee, Lucky if I made $45"
