The rude service personnel have no respect for property. DO NOT HIRE THEM! As has been described in other reviews: The company is slow to respond. The service personnel are extremely rude and seem to hate their job. They caused damage to my property (trampled living plants, damaged fencing for access, spilled chemicals in the driveway), and they just don't seem to care. Keep searching for pool/yard maintenance elsewhere - Glamour Pools and McLaughlin are NOT the answer!

EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!
After reading reviews decided to try out Glamour Pools for weekly pool maintenance. This company also does lawn care and pest control, so would have hired them for those services as well if we liked them. Called company and spoke to Lee, who took our info. Explained that we live out-of-state, know nothing about pool maintenance, and just bought a house in Lehigh. The pool needed a good cleaning, and I wanted to start weekly service as well. Told her that I would like it usable for the weekend. Could they do that? She said sure. Signed up for the full weekly cleaning package for 87.00 per month. Since we wouldn't be there for the appt., gave her my cell phone number and requested to be contacted in case there were any issues or something needed to be replaced or repaired, during the time tech was there servicing the pool.
They scheduled the initial cleaning on Friday May 30th. So, Friday went by, and I never received a call from them, so I assumed our pool was cleaned and ready to use. WRONG!!! My brother lives just blocks away from our new home, and dropped by to check out the pool. He called me to ask why the pool service didn't come that day. I said quit joking around. (The pool is clean, right?) He tells me the pool is dirty. Disappointed, I call Glamour Pools to find out what happened, only to learn that they don't answer the phone after 4pm, and are closed on weekends. UGH... but I can leave a message, which I do. I don't receive a call back until Monday. The pool manager, Wayne, calls me to say that the technician only " shocked" the pool on Friday, and was returning that day (Monday) to finish the cleaning job. I asked why no one called me on Friday to inform me. Wayne says they don't talk to their techs until the following morning to discuss these things. And they are closed on weekends. He also mentions that at the next regular visit the tech will meet with my brother to go over the pool maintenance and discuss if the filter should be changed. Sounds routine, and knowing nothing about pools, I say okay. Although I am aggravated by this lack of communication between manager and tech, and the customers they serve, I agree to let him come back and finish the job. I am trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. I verify with Wayne that the pool will, in fact, be scrubbed, vacuumed, etc. and ready for use end of Monday-he says of course.
The following day (Tuesday), my brother goes back to the house after work to check out the awesome clean pool! ( It's clean now, right?) Calls me again and says that everything looks exactly the same-dirty pool. Filth on the tiles, sand all over the bottom of the pool, disgusting! Now I am beyond aggravated, to feeling completely lied to. He takes pictures and sends them to me. I can't believe after seeing them that anyone has ever been to our house at all.( In fact, no paperwork or ticket was left by the tech at our home for either visits to explain what they did, let alone support the claim that they were ever there.)
Of course, they're closed already, so I call Glamour Pools first thing on Wednesday, and ask to speak with Wayne. I ask him to review with me exactly what the tech did on Monday. He says they finished the cleaning, which included vacuuming, scrubbing chemicals, etc. I explain to him the condition of the pool as my brother found it. I ask Wayne how can there be sand all over the bottom of the pool and spa if the tech just vacuumed yesterday? He says it's because the filter might need to be replaced. I ask why the tiles ABOVE the water are so disgusting? He says "I don't know." I ask him if they leave paperwork at the house when the cleaning is finished, he says "Yes." I ask why we never got any paperwork either time. Wayne says "I don't know, you should have gotten something." I say the pool is really dirty, and ask him if he would like me to send him the photos my brother took, Wayne actually says " I don't need to see them." Wait, what? You're a manager and you have zero interest in seeing photos that would verify a customers complaint? I say that I don't believe that a tech has ever been to my house, and I am very disappointed in this company. Wayne says 'OK." Tells me "why don't I wait until the next service appointment and the tech can meet my brother and talk to him about everything." REALLY? I cancelled their "service", and found another pool service that makes excellent customer service their priority!
I expected Wayne to take charge as the manager, and offer to resolve this immediately. That did not happen. Never volunteered to go to the house himself and inspect the pool. I would expect that my new business was important to the company, and he would do what was needed to make it right. Wondering why a professional pool service would have a policy to clean a pool but leave a dirty filter that will render the pool useless the next day and not advise the customer to replace it right away.... There is such a complete lack of regard for customer service at this company. Very poor communication. Do yourself a huge favor and DO NOT call these people for pool service!!!.

The service technician arrived and did not come to door. Went directly to pool equipment and had pump replaced before I knew the service tech had arrived. I walked out to look at pump and tech had replaced it without diagnostics beyond what was written on service order. I phoned in for service and stated that my pool pump sounded like a bearing had gone out and that the pump would likely need to be replaced. No check of pool operation, other than hearing new pump work quietly was done without my asking tech to come look if flow looked good. Tech did follow with a call to ask me to reset my pump timer as that final step was forgotten. I would hope to receive better customer communication and diagnostics to see if the problem really was the pump before pulling in drive and starting the replacement job. The technician seemed knowledgable; customer communication lacked.

Glamour Pools is a subsidiary of the company doing my landscaping and pest control. We are very pleased with all their service.

They provide excellent service. They come every week to maintain our pool. The pool we have is difficult to maintain because we live on a lake. They always don't come on the same day, but they always show up. We are very happy with the service they provide for us.
