As anyone can note, all of these reviews are old. And I don't really believe the number of 5 star reviews are about this location and staff or current owner. I was referred to them from my prior, now retired, garage door servicer. They don't like to answer the phones and do not have voice mail in my experience. Long story short, agreed on price over phone, set appointment. Installer did show up, was personable. End of install, 2 springs and new 700 opener, bill was 100.00 higher than quoted. I knew the quote did not include their labor and agreed to the new price. However the installer did not have the keypad. Said he used last one on prior job. He would return next day to install. He did not, has not. After couple days, call local shop. They still do not answers phone, got someone in California? I still don't have keypad, no follow up from them to resolve, did speak with someone and told them I was going to dispute. Have no choice. This is Ft Myers location.

Excellent, Jose Iraheta did a great job. Patiently walked me through registering with MyQ in order open from phone. Jose is definitely an asset to D&D Doors. Lily was my sales contact, and she was great, even gave site to take advantage of coupon for free Keypad installed on garage entrance. Thanks Lily, and thank you Jose Iraheta for great install and help.

Dan from D and D was able to arrive within 24 hours and complete all necessary repairs. He was prompt, friendly and extremely competent. I was worried , given the circumstances, that we would wait forever and pay and arm and a leg. Turned out these guys were extremely compassionate, professional and a great value for the money. I very highly recommend.

Right on time, introduced himself and went to work. Took about an hour then reviewed operation. Called D&D as a result of a previous experience where they came out, told me they couldn't do much with old opener (discontinued company) and didn't charge for visit. That was over a year ago and finally went for the new one. Very happy with the deal.

The repairman, Dave B, was very professional and prompt.  Not only did he perform the routine maintenance on our door, but he discovered we did not have a surge protector.  He explained how we could lubricate the door in specific areas on a routine basis and had the proper lubricant for us to use.  He was quick, professional, courteous, and thorough.

Started off OK, tech was good but due to poor communication, this almost went very bad. Good news is it ended well when Michelle (I believe the service manager) stepped in - details are listed below. To summarize, I would use them again as the service preformed was good BUT if you are quoted over the phone, make sure you double check with the service person when they arrive that you are on the same page with the work to be done and the price you've been quoted.
DETAILS
I called D and D along with several other service providers. The reason I went with them was because of the tone and mannerism of the person who answered and the reasonable price I was quoted.
Unfortunately the communication with the initial person that I spoke with ended up being the problem.
As mentioned I called multiple companies telling all of them the exact same thing - and quot;I need a new gear set in one door and my spring had broke on the otherand quot;. I knew the gear needed to be replaced because I opened the unit and shaving fell all over the floor and you could easily see the main gear was worn to nothing. Again the person at D and D was very nice and courteous and quoted me an 'approximate' price barring any other issues the service tech may find. That price was $229.
When the service person did arrive he had no comments or reference to the gear set which was a concern right off as I had clearly gone over this with every company I spoke with. He said it would not be a problem because he carried the part with him.
A couple of hours later he handed me a bill of $389! I reluctantly paid as he said he would have the office call me immediately as the person I needed to speak with was not available. The reason I paid was it was clear from the beginning the tech was not given all of the information and honestly, one of the doors needed new wires and a new spring so it took longer than anticipated and needed a couple of more parts (the wires) than initially discussed.
All that said, I realized the tech was not in a position to do anything without his boss' consent and he was now running behind, so again I paid the bill and anticipated some consideration from the Company or at a minimum a courtesy call walking over the issues and charges.
Instead of receiving a call that afternoon as promised by the tech, several days later I received what I took as a patronizing email with a couple of incorrect statements. Rather than ranting or posting anything I sent them an email making it very clear I was 'ticked' and was going to call my credit card company and dispute the charge and gave them one last chance to call and discuss the issue.
I ended up getting a call from Michelle who listened to my concerns, acknowledged their errors and walked over each item of the bill. In the end, I paid the entire amount as she did a good job justifying the cost and making me feel like a client rather than an idiot that was getting taken advantage of.
I will use them again - but will make very sure the person that answers the phone clearly understands what I'm saying when they give me a quote.
