Costa Marble And Granite

When wanting to replace my laminate counter-tops I decided to get quotes from 3 of the top Angies list vendors in the Ft. Myers / Cape Coral area.
Costa did not have as many reviews as the other two and their location is not as "prime", as well.
After receiving bids from all 3 vendors the Costa bid came in at about $1200 less expensive overall on a $4400 job. I tried to figure out why there could be such a price difference and my conclusion was that perhaps Costa's lower overhead and cost savings from not running television ads probably had something to do with it.
Just to ease my mind I went back to the other 2, higher priced, vendors and asked if their calculations were the same as Costa's. They confirmed that they were so the bids were for equal square footage and finishing of my 4 Granite pieces. Interestingly, one of the 2 high bidders told me that I would be making a big mistake going with Costa but I relied on others reviews and decided to contract with them anyhow.
I selected a large slab from one of the many granite warehouses and the slab was delivered to Costa in preparation for cutting. Templates were made about a week before the installation.
Day of installation went smooth. The installers paid close attention to the existing back-splash and everything went according to plan.
If you have not had Granite installed before get ready to air your house out. The glue / chemicals used smell very strong. You will need to keep your windows open for some time to allow the smell to dissipate.
Super happy with Costa. You can pay more at a more fancy Granite supplier but why would anyone want to do that?

Excellent from beginning to end. We live in a gated golf course community and wanted to update our kitchen. We met personally with Tom Costa, the owner of the company. Very pleasant to work with. He came to our home to confirm estimate and gave excellent ideas that enhanced the kitchen. His quote was spot on. His installers, Roberto and Rinaldo, were also professional, skilled craftsmen and had expertise in their installation. They cleaned up everything. They were personable, pleasant, explained everything and were friendly to our dog. They spoke perfect English and were conscientious in their work. Julie in the office scheduled our initial home visit to make the template as well as one week later for the installation. Everything was timely just as scheduled. Their price was much lower than 3 other estimates we received and very reasonable. The service provided was excellent and we would highly recommend them. They don't advertise but obtain customers by word of mouth. This is a family owned business. Will definitely hire again if needed. Thank you very much Tom and the team at Costa Marble and Granite!

I visited Costa Marble and Granite to get a quote on granite only. Patrick looked at my cabinet plans that I was going to purchase from Big Box and he suggested a much better layout. I asked for a quote and informed Patrick I needed more than just cabinets and countertops but a small remodel . In the interim of Tom Costa meeting me in my home I took a look at the reviews on Angie's List . One of them being rather harsh. I discussed my needs with Tom and the negative review from Angies List . After hearing what Tom Costa had to say- I was quite impressed with Him and my gut told me to allow Costa to do my job.

Costa did an an awesome job from beginning to end. Scheduling, price, remodeling, employees, subs, professionalism. Every thing was top notch all the way. I would recommend Costa to anyone and I would use them again. I can't give this company enough accolades. Wonderful ! Wonderful! Wonderful!

a friend told us that costa does nice work.we called and from the start we should have know something was wrong.my husband and I worked a deal and made arrangements with (Tom) ? apparently the license is under a different name whom we never meet.the secretary came to do take pics...we paid half down so we could get a starting date....Tom assured us that he would come everyday to check the work not only this guy didn t come. the workers (some spoke only Spanish) were showing up and asking us what we wanted done .total disaster.ever heard of a kitchen designed by Tom who later told us that we didn t tell him that we wanted an electrical outlet or two on the bar area ? a total mess.once we complainned he sent a couple of guys who wanted to cut the installed counter top and a space through the floor to run wires ? we told them that we wanted someone who knew what they were doing to correct the problems.everyone left and Tom didn t call nor come by not even to collect the small balance,the work is breaking down already .....Tom spoke so highly of being a competitor to cornerstone how he would surpass their work for much less believe me you get what you paid for and less .so much money spent.we will be looking for someone to add the outlets and fix the drawers that are coming apart. I would not recommend costa marble and granite to anyone.a dozen of handymen working under souza s license ? possible.ask ???? before signing ask for every details written down.byer beware.

Everyone at Costa is a delight to deal with. While Costa is a relatively small operation, their granite is the most beautiful of all the shops that we visited. Our installation was complex, and there were a couple of challenges along the way. The Costa team solved all of the problems that arose, and the final product is gorgeous. The quality is obvious and unmistakable. We are thrilled with our granite and with Costa. They have earned our loyalty for future projects, as well as our hearty endorsement to friends and other tradespeople.
