It went pretty good. I talked to a lot of companies, many with slicker presentations but felt the most comfortable with Don based on friend's experience. He is a long time resident of the area, as are we, and his reputation is a good one. They did a pretty good job of keeping the house livable and the kitchen at least semi-usable while we waited for cabinets and counter tops. He had excellent subs for the electrical and painting - although the painter took a big job and so Don had to get another painter to come finish tomorrow. We signed the contract in July and hopefully tomorrow will be the last step - painting some trim and installing door hardware. The cabinets came out very nice as did the granite counter tops.
