BUYER BEWARE!!. 1st measurements were taken December 10th (work took 17 weeks). Cost was THEN $1022. I delivered chair and hassock for final measurements. I asked for back cushions with rounded tops to match the back of the chair. They remeasured and added another $18 for them. When I went to pick them up the back cushions were very large pillows that they said I ordered and measured (I didn't measure anything they did) the owner said he can fix the cushions the way I first requested and I should add buttons on them to make it look better. I agreed. Upon the next pick up the back cushions were shorter then he described they would be. and the edges were uneven (not rounded). The women explained because of the changes I wanted they didn't have enough material to perform the task. (why not inform me of this at the last meeting). Then they added another $168 to the bill. I had no choice except pay and retrieve my furniture and leave.

"Unfortunately in this situation the customer was unclear of what they wanted. Originally, they ordered a 22'' 'pillow', then they came in and changed it to a 26'' pillow. They did specify rounded corners, which we did taper as shown in picture. Upon inspecting the chair, they then wanted to change to a back "cushion". There is a significant difference between a pillow and a cushion. We did not charge them for any additional labor to remake their 2nd change. However did charge them additional for the fill that was required, per their change request. We did not order enough material for 3rd change, as stated, the original order was for a 22'' pillow. We always strive to do quality work and make sure our customers leave happy. In this situation, it was not possible due to the lack of communication provided by the customer. And we do book out approx 3-4 months for cushions, as customer was made aware of at time of placing order."

I hate most businesses, but this one is great. Positive people. Not trying to gouge anyone. The are responsive to my needs. I had 4 boat cushions done and have 2 more projects there working on now. And I am happy with there quality there value and there attitude. I brought my own fabrics in. No problem. I recommend for any upholstery needs. Why can’t more businesses be like this one?

Sandy and Tim are the owners and are a great team. They are so nice and accommodating to your schedule. We have had cushions on lanai reupholstered. A few months ago we had all kitchen chairs, barstools, valances and accent chairs reupholstered. They come out and measure or you can take pictures and measurements for estimates. There work is phenomenal. We have referred anyone that asks for referral for this kind of work. Many compliments from anyone that comes into our home. Use them!!!!!

A superb job, from the quick, reasonable quote to repair the cushions while retaining their lovely covers, to finishing the job in two days. When I brought the cushions home and attached them to the chairs, alas two of them still creaked. I spoke to the owner, Tim Harvey, who said the problem might be in the chairs' cushion trays. I took them back the next day, and he and an assistant went above and beyond by strengthening their attachment with more screws and a brace on each chair. In other words, they corrected a design flaw. My wife says they are now perfection. Bravo, Tim, and Brava to his wife, Sandy, who facilitated this project.

Tim did a GREAT job making the repair while we waited. Sandy was over the top helpful. I saw a stack of foam and asked if they sell one that is 30 degree angle as husbands doctor told him to pick one up at Bed Bath & Beyond. They said foam is expensive. It would have to be a special order. Sandy gave us a coupon for BB & B. If you want great customer service, friendly and honest people that do a WONDERFUL job go no place else but Bahama Upholstering. We sure will. Spread the word!

I found Bahama with hundreds of excellent reviews on Angie’s list and couldnt be happier with their service. I selected my foam padding and In order to save me a one hour return trip to pick it up they did the work in an hour while I was in town! Fast reliable reasonable service by a family owned and run business. Can’t say enough good things about them

Sandy was awesome about replying quickly to my email request for information. She answered all my questions, and I was surprised and pleased to also receive a firm quote for the work via email. My chairs were ready in just a week and I could not be happier with the quality. I will highly recommend Bahama Upholstery to my friends.

They performed excellent work. Very easy to work with. Large selection of fabrics on site. Very prompt and reliable. I came in after Hurricane Irma expecting a long wait for my job to be completed. Even though they were extremely busy they promised me they could get my cushions completed before Thanksgiving when my family comes to visit. They said expect to have the cushions in the shop the first week of November and a week to 10 day turnaround. I called towards the end of October and was told to bring the cushions in and they could get them covered within a week. Today is November 8 and I just picked up my beautiful new cushions! I thought I would need new foam since the foam in my cushions was 20 years old. After inspecting the cushions they told me the foam was very high quality and would not need to be replaced and saved me about 50% of the cost of my job. They rewrapped the old cushions and now they look and feel new.

Owners were very pleasant and very detailed. The seats on our dining room chairs and bar stools were very much in need of repair. They were reupholstered and are now as good as or better than new. The price was very fair and the entire job was complete within two days. We were very pleased with Bahama Upholstering and will certainly not hesitate to recommend them or use them again in the future.

I searched AL for a reliable upholster in my area. Bahama Upholstery came up. I gathered up my pillows and scampered over. I was greeted with two long walls of fabric choices and 10 days to complete the job. No waiting, they gave me a labor quote, pointed me in the right direction for my fabric hunt, consulted with me to narrow down my choice and! had the job done two days ahead of time. Now that, ladies and gentlemen, is service! I highly recommend them.

We had a really beautiful chair that had caning on the seat that had disintegrated. It had a custom loose cushion that matched other chairs in the room. Since the caning could not be repaired, we decided to reupholster the seat. We thought we'd have to choose another fabric, but they were able to take our original cushion and remake it. It looks like new, is comfortable and everything still matches! We are extremely pleased and would highly recommend them--they know what they are doing.

I had dropped the chair and all material to them by Dec. 22, 2015. When I stopped in on Jan. 5 with a matching ottoman
nothing had even been started on my chair. I was then told that as soon as I had the material to them for the ottoman it would take 1 week. The material arrived on January 7. My chair and ottoman were finally done in mid February. When I mentioned how disappointed I was in how long it took, I was told that they were done now and they looked really good. REALLY!! If I had been told it would take 6 weeks, that is what I would have expected. The chair and ottoman do look good but I was disappointed in how they handled the fact that everything took so long.
