Later that day, I found another company who was more than willing to repair the compressor for me. They did an excellent job. Next year, when I am in the market for a new A/C system, Advanced Air will not receive my business, nor the business of any of my friends. The way this company operates is abominable.
"We went to Ms. [member name removed]'s home and found a 1987 air conditioning system. We tried to repair it but it was shorted to ground, the compressor needed to be replaced. We quoted her the price to replace the compressor and advised her to get an estimate on a new system before replacing such an expensive component on a 28 years old system. She set up an appointment to get an estimate and then cancelled that appointment before our technician left her home. We gave her an invoice she signed and paid for with the cost to replace the compressor and the recommendation to upgrade her existing 1987 air conditioning system. She said she was going get other prices to do the repair. We are a company that gives our clients options and they can decide which works best for them. We are not a company that leaves a client without air conditioning and we will make a repair or install a new system within 24 hours of the client's approval to do the work. In addition, if our client has no air conditioning and they have to go overnight without their main air conditioner working we will bring them a portable air conditioner to set up in a bedroom so they can sleep well. When I spoke to Ms. [member name removed] she felt is wasn't fair that she had to pay for the time we tried to repair the system for her so I will be refunding her $100."
To begin with, Rob was every bit the consummate sales person. He hit every single mark in customer sales and service. From wearing his "booties" before he entered my home, to giving me a follow-up call two days later. He followed up three days later with a post card and a call a week later to ask if I had further questions. He came to give me a quote and performed a thorough investigation of all the information he needed to give me the most accurate data for my specific needs. From accurately measuring every square inch he needed to prepare his quote. (Of the other four quotes I received only Rob did this). He informed me of the benefits of doing business with this company which was beneficial. After giving me his quote, he left information for my further education on the different options I might want to consider to make an informed decision and the benefits of each option. After a few days he called to see if I had further questions or concerns and offered more advice on his products. When all the other four quotes were in, Advanced Air was the leader in quality, and price. But the professionalism didn't stop there. The installers arrived earlier than the appointed time, reviewed my proposal to ensure we were on the same page with the products I ordered and the products they brought, went quickly to work, and were quite efficient in removing the old and installing the new system. There were no excessive noise, and they accepted my refreshments graciously and gratefully. They finished up according to the schedule they promised, provided me with a portable air conditioner so I would not be uncomfortable and when they were done there was no indication they had ever been there. Except my home was WAY more cooler.
I could go on and on but the overall comment is to say I couldn't have chosen a better company to buy and install my new air conditioning system. I was very, very pleased and will highly recommend the company to all my family, friends and anyone that asks.
We have used this company for 7yrs and service is usually very good with a yearly contract we get two service maintenance checks per year. This year my service tech was more interested in pushing me to purchase additional products that the company sells instead of paying more attention to the product he was here to service.
We decided to upgrade to an annual contract while he was here, which makes my TOTAL annual maintenance cost for a 5T A/C unit about $199.00. I don't know about down here, but where I moved from $199 wouldn't cover a single trip much less annual.
