A six week project turned into 18 months and he eventually refused to finish the project. Numerous quality problems. Had to hire another company to finish the project. Do not believe anything Barry Anderson tells you. Find another source for your project.

When we decided to have our condo kitchen updated we called Barry Andersen, the owner of AC Woodcraft in Fort Myers for an estimate. Barry came over the same day to discuss our project. We liked Barry as soon as we met him. He had an easy way about him and we could tell he was a true craftsman. Barry was more than willing to do a simple cabinet reface but he also came up with some great suggestions to improve the storage capacity and efficiency of our kitchen. We liked his ideas and decided to go ahead with the renovation. Barry not only refaced the existing cabinets but he also ended up building a new corner cabinet with pot drawers, a large double pantry with rollout shelves, and a full-depth cabinet over the fridge. These new cabinets seamlessly matched the existing cabinets, all of which have the soft close feature. We also had Barry install granite countertops, new sink, faucets, and garbage disposal. In addition, Barry helped us choose our granite which turned out to be a perfect complement to our cabinets. We now have what amounts to a brand new custom kitchen which costs less than expected and far less than a completely new kitchen. Barrys end price was exactly the same as his original estimate. Barrys team consisted of Chase, Alex, Peter, and Console. These are the craftsmen who did the installation. We cannot say enough good things about this crew. They are true professionals who did a fantastic job of completing our kitchen. They were friendly, polite and always left the work area spotless at the end of the day, even down to mopping the floors. We also had approving comments from our older neighbors who told us how courteous these young men were and how they even offered to help them carry their groceries. We told this to Barry and he said he expects nothing less of his crew. This is a FIVE STAR team and we thank them for giving us a wonderful new kitchen. We are planning to renovate our bathrooms and will definitely have Barry and his group of professionals do it for us.

Barry and his men did a beautiful job updating my kitchen and bathrooms and his prices were good. Communication was excellent. They always showed up when expected and did high quality work.

New kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, new tile floor through half the house, replaced old bathtub with walk-in shower. The quality of their work is superb. I will hire them again when I have another project.

I have hired Barry and Chase Anderson of AC Woodcraft on several occasions to remodel my home/s. My first project was a kitchen remodel. Barry showed me my design and options in my price footprint. Chase did the cabinet installation and supervised the countertop installation. They are both very professional, on time and courteous. I have used AC Woodcraft on two subsequent projects and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to remodel a kitchen, bathroom or large remodel. They are a professional team and the quality of work was exemplary. Five Stars All the Way.

My experience with Barry reflects nothing like these reviews. I could write a book about everything he did wrong. He was great and charismatic on the sales side, the execution was nothing like his pitch. I sent him an almost exact picture of a built-in we wanted and got 3 quotes. He was the mid-price quote, one was much higher, and probably more accurate. He underestimated the job and was clearly over his head on a simple built-in. He took 5 months to do the job, instead of weeks. He said he would prefab as much as possible to minimize days on site. He ended up being on-site some 40 days. He had to put plastic over the work area to keep dust out of the house. He complained having to work like this and we looked at this tarp right in front of us for months. He never showed up on time, or sometimes not at all when promised. When he got other jobs he did not have the crew to do both, so we were back-burner and his crew would tell us some other customers were irate and threatening him if he did not finish. He did not have a permit nor license for Collier County (which we did not know). He had all his tools in our driveway, (we told him not to park in our new driveway, but he did anyway and his truck leaked oil). We live in a new neighborhood and an inspector drove by and was curious. He stopped in and ended up fining Barry $2,000, which I reluctantly paid him (a 20% over-run and there would be more hidden/unquoted costs). He never paid the fine to the county. (We check periodically.) He does not have a dry room so he would paint some cabinets at his shop, put them outside to dry, it would rain, and ruin the paint, and then complain to me he had to re-do it, and it would delay our job several times, like he could not figure out how to dry indoors. I was taking some scope away, like some intricate woodwork for the fireplace mantle, and then we would add scope and he never quoted a cost until the end, he blamed me for not knowing there was an over-run. I would make drawings of how I wanted shelves set-up. He would come in and wrinkle it up as a joke, but then he would really ignore it. We were having our stereo in the cabinets and fish tanks on both sides. I kept expressing concern about allowing for cooling. He fought me every step of the way on that issue. He has absolutely no clue how to handle cable management in a stereo built-in. We had upper cabinets he put daylight color temp, 5K/blue, bulbs in, and then below incandescent color temp 2.9K/orange bulbs so they did not match color temp. He blamed me for that since he wanted me to order the lights for some bizarro world reason. I hired someone to fix that and finish what he did not do as he ended up not finishing some final touches and walked. His workers were his only saving grace, and why I waited to write this review. I did not want to hurt their livelihood. They have hopefully moved on from now. UPDATE: I saw the comment from Barry saying he had to take me to collections. He is lying. I paid everything except the final $500 when he walked off the job. I paid the $2,000 in fines he never paid the county, but I paid him for. When he saw this review, he called in desperation and asked, What can I do to make this (review) go away? How much did you pay to get it finished and fixed? (roughly $2,500) I refused to be paid to remove this review. Fine, I will take care of this another way. And hung up. I feel others should be warned.

Very conscientious and polite. Came when agreed, worked efficiently. Got what ordered in time line they stated. Will use again.

Barry (owner) does custom work! My fabulous kitchen is the result of his vision. His vision and expert workmanship resulted in me having a dream kitchen (beautiful custom cabinets with granite countertops and custom lighting), two remodeled bathrooms (custom cabinets with granite countertops plus fabulous tile work on floors and bath areas), and more fabulous tile flooring installed throughout most of the house. I would highly recommend AC Woodcraft for any projects!

He built an amazing kitchen for us and built a kitchen for us outside! It is solid and he worked really hard for us. He came back to build a mantle and book case and then will be doing our bathroom. All of his workers are fantastic and I would recommend him to and already have!

No high pressure. Barry, the owner, is just a good guy who will go the extra mile to make sure that he ends up with a happy customer. He is intuitive when you tell him what you are trying to accomplish and doesn't try to overcharge you or recommend something that you don't need or want. Jose, his helper is conscientious to the extreme to be sure the work he does is properly done. Barry and company have now done two different kitchen jobs for my wife and I and I would not hesitate to highly recommend them to anyone for any project they wanted to undertake.

We hired them for cabinets and countertop. They did more than that. Barry built new cabinets for us, added cabinets, drawers. His work is top notch and he is super accommodating. Didn't stop until every little thing was done to our satisfaction We have a beautiful kitchen thanks to him and his workers who are also very talented.. Price is very reasonable. We recommend him highly.

What started as a cabinet refinish project quickly became a total kitchen redo. Barry and his crew were amazing throughout this process and delivered a completed QUALITY project on time and on budget. After a few experiences in the past with SW Florida contractors, our expectations with this project were less than positive, most importantly with cost and time overruns, but Barry exceeded any other experience we had had to date. He and his crew showed up when they said they would (amazing), performed QUALITY workmanship, and completed our kitchen in time for Christmas dinner as promised. Barry also kept to his estimate and final payment was exactly what was expected. All in all, I will use Barry again and would highly recommend anyone else to do the same.

Barry was very easy to work with and knew what he was doinng. My new vanity is beautiful and since it is wood not partical board a leek won't disolve it ever again.
