This business scammed my elderly parents. They left things worse than before they got there and charged a huge price. He spent the time, two or three days, but didn’t fix the problem. We shouldn’t pay for his time if it didn’t fix anything. And he vaguely threatened to sue if my parents didn’t pay. This is a scam. Do Not Hire

This is my third experience with ABC Electric. First two experiences were 5 star - great quality work, fair price. Unfortunately this is my last experience with ABC Electric. I will start out by saying the young lady who scheduled the appointment was very explicit in explaining their "terms and rates". This should have been the first thing that got "my antenna up", but I had used them before and trusted them - WRONG! I was billed 5 hours or $528 in labor to do a very simple installation of a 30 amp breaker in an existing panel and installing a shut off switch through the outside will approximately 1 1/2' from the electrical panel. The installer "Terry" really "milked" the time to do this installation and I observed him numerous times on the phone while I was being charged the hourly rate. To make matters worse "they forgot to put the shut off switch on the truck" (Terry's words - not mine) so he had to drive back to the warehouse to pick up the part which took approximately 1 1/2 hours. I assumed I wasn't going to be charged for this time - WRONG! So bottom line, I paid over $650 for a pretty simple electrical installation. Don't be fooled by their name and it's reference to Christ (ABC) - they will sock it to you! Avoid ABC Electric! Don Miller, Fort Myers, FL P.S. Don't mistake me for a chronic complainer - check my YELP reviews (2 positive reviews for ABC and this one - please note I write considerably more positive reviews than negative!

Other company's estimates were off the wall but ABC gave us a very reasonable rate. They were very efficient and professional and we felt like they went above and beyond. Their Christian ethics were obvious and we would highly recommend them.

They are very good people; Christian run company and Christian employees who were all very good to work with. They came out, worked in the heat and still did a real good job.

They did a fine job and their price was half of the quote I got for another company. They were courteous, they were on time and they cleaned up. I was very satisfied. I would use them again.

I have mixed feelings about them. They were prompt and did come out on the weekend, outside business hours and they did resolve my issue, however, their prices were sky high. He did not have the part that was needed in his truck and instead of going to the part store that was 10 minutes away he went to the store on the other side of town and took 2 hours to find the part. I find it unethical to charge me over $100 an hour to drive to the furthest store and spend 2 hours to get it. I asked if he had called the store before he went and the technician just said "No." I spent over $400 to get an electrical outlet changed. I needed water and had no choice. I feel like they took advantage of the situation. I will never use them again and would never recommend them.

The electrician was nice and the work overall was satisfactory. However, several smoke breaks were taken, leaving 3 or 4 buts along

our driveway to pick up, and he also left twice for extended period of time. He arrived promptly in the morning at 8:15 a.m. and left our home at 2:30 p.m. To me this is 6 and 1/2 hours. I paid the bill and then my wife reviewing the bill says that we were charged for 7 1/2 hours. I would not use them again, as I feel we did not get our monies worth and never expected the bill to be that high.

When we called them, they were able to come within 24 hours. They spend about four hours here and he only charge $75 an hour - something very reasonable. He did a great job. He said if we had any problems, we can call him again. The fact that he could come so quickly was amazing - after all the people that we had to wait for. And he was not overcharging us at all. Yes I will use them again in a heartbeat. He came in so fast. This is a firm that is trying to serve you and not trying to rip you off.

Called ABC Electric based on family recommendation. They were very nice and flexible on the phone and were fine when I changed the date and time. Ronny from ABC arrived primarily to change the dryer plug but I ended up having him here for 4.5 hours to do misc electrical projects (all done on a Tand M basis) including new garage outlets, circuit and wiring; changing some overhead fixtures, helping me wire and install a HDTV on the wall, etc. Will be having them back soon to do a ceiling fan, outside lights, etc.

This is the 2nd time I have used ABC Electrical in Fort Myers, FL. They quickly resolved my issue this time and the other issue I had 3 months ago.
They made an appointment that was convenient to me. They were early to on-time. They were honest in their assessment and recommendation for repairs. They were very competitively priced. Ronnie rewired the electrical outlet to another circuit breaker eliminating the problem of having too many items on same circuit, fixing what was causing my circuit breaker to trip almost daily. Total cost today: $185.00 (parts and labor).
They are very competent, quite fair and very honest. You can't go wrong with that combination...

I just moved to Florida. This electrical company was recommended by my new plumber. Instead of using a handyman to just hang new ceiling fans, I called the electrician because I wanted to be able to turn the ceiling fans and lights off from three locations in the house, and I figured a Florida electrician would know how to optimize the functionality of the fans and lights. In all fairness, it was a crazy day. Had the movers, plumber, and electrician all here at the same time. The electrician was here for 9.5 hours. As well, he had to call the office to have another worker come out because he couldn't get one leg down the exterior wall. Another .5 hours in billable time. When the electrician finally went to hang the ceiling fans, he realized they had remote controls, and said that there had really been no need to run the second wires. There's only one power input into the fans. At the end of the day, the fans and lights needed to be programmed. I agreed to do this. When I went to do this several days later, I realized I couldn't turn the power on from the kitchen- in fact there was no stacked switch there. I called the owner of the company back, and he sent another electrician out. He spent about 5 minutes, and told me that I just need to run the fans and lights off the remote. Called back. Today the second electrician just left. Basically, there is no power to the fan fixtures from the kitchen- it would have been hard to get the wire down the wall. Didn't need the second legs of power because the fans and lights would have run off of the existing power and switches with the remotes. Now I have stacked switches where one switch does nothing. It turned out that the reason I couldn't get the one ceiling fan to work is a bad transmitter in the Harbor Breeze fan. So- $708 later- I have an additional outlet in my garage (took about an hour), a new receptacle in my bedroon (about 15 mnutes) and two useless switches. I still have to go to the bedroom to turn off the one ceiling fan, and the living room to turn off the other ceiling fan. Neither can be turned on or off from the kitchen. I can leave the power on in the bedroom and living room and use the remotes- but I could have done that without adding additional switches and legs. So- with the fan assemly and hanging (say an hour each)- that leves 6.5 hours to run two wires from the wall switches to the fans. The owner did take an hour off the bill, since I thought it took the electrician an awefully long time to run the wires. So- I'm tremendously dissapointed with this experience. The owner of the company has accused me of trying to "play" them. I finally just told him we clearly have a difference of opinion. He told me that as a "born again Christian" he wouldn't take a penny that wasn't righteously earned. He also spoke at length about the experience of his electrician and how long he's been in business. I can only speak to the work that was done for me. It may have resulted from poor communication, but it feels like the expectation on ABC's part was that I was the expert and they were just doing the work. Lesson learned. The check was cashed the day after the initial work was done, and I signed off on the work order not realizing that the fans and lights don't work the way I wanted.

They did a good job. They came back and fixed a unit that was not working. I would grade them high across all the categories.
