In the beginning of our relationship owner was very responsive. I signed a contract with him and he was more difficult to get a hold of. After I paid the total amount of the contract he was almost impossible to contact. I asked for warranties covering the materials used in the re-roofing and his workmanship. I was never able to get this information on my own. I appealed to the local Better Business Bureau. They did as much as they could do, but the owner refused to comply with my request for written warranties (he stated he had given me the warranties verbally and that was all that was necessary). When I persisted he said he had given me both of the warranties and was not going to do it again. Finally I appealed to Angie's List and the owner contacted me right away and sent me copies of both warranties. As far as we know, he did a good job with the roofing--haven't had any leaks, but he was so difficult to deal with that I would never have him do another job for me and I cannot recommend him to others. They gave me several options and grades of materials. I selected the middle roof. During installation they always showed up on time, they kept a neat work area and cleaned up several times a day. It was amazing to watch them work and I could tell that they are true craftsmen. I think it was an excellent value.
