 + -1 moreBeware of this company. They are rip-off artists. After extolling the virtues of the Panasonic and the high-pressure technique (there were 3 persons, all of whom were involved), I bought it and left the Eureka there as part of the trade-in. After I left the store, I looked on the internet for the same vacuum model. The highest price I found was $149.95. Zig-n-Zag charged me $279.00 and they retained my new Eureka. I went back to the store on Tuesday, January 30, 2007, the very next day, to either return the machine or get a substantial credit (approximately $100.00) to my account. However, I was told that there are "NO REFUNDS. NO RETURNS". I can understand a No refunds, no returns policy when buying a dress. However, an item like a vacuum cleaner should be tried out at the place it is going to be used to be sure that it is the proper product for the needs of the purchaser.
Description of Work: On Monday, January 29, 2007, I brought a one-year-old Eureka vacuum to Zig-n-Zag for a belt repair. Since this was a fairly new machine, I brought them the new belt that came with the machine, so the only charge to me would have been the labor costs. Although I had no intention of purchasing a new vacuum, while there, I mentioned that the Eureka vacuum was very heavy and hard to push and asked for advice. This was especially important to me due to the fact that I have a torn rotator cuff injury in the right shoulder. The store personnel recommended a Panasonic vacuum that would suit my purposes.
