It took him three days to show up, he spent 20 minutes working on my computer, said he fixed one problem and not to worry about the other, charged me $150 for a house call (approx. 3 miles from the store), gave me no receipt and two hours later the Wi-Fi still did not reach 25 ' within my apartment.
The Laptop fan was over heating and making noise like it was about to give out. I took it in and they first tried to fix the fan but decided it would be better to replace the fan. They had to completely dismantle the computer to get to the fan. They ordered the fan and installed it as soon as they got it and it runs great.
Had crash problems with my still under warranty PC. Dell said they would send a tech onsite to replace mother board. Would be 3 to 5 days. Told Dell no good so they shipped a new mother board to my home. Got it the next day. Called a neighborhood repair shop and they would not do the job. Called Geeks at Best Buy and they would not do the job. Gave me some long detailed story about what it involved. My take (although not said directly) was they wouldn't do it because I had not bought the part from them
I went to your list (which I should have done right away and will always do first in the future) and contacted this provider. They told me to bring it in and they would replace mother board. Brought it in to them and spoke to DAN. Told him to please place the faulty motherboard back into the package it came in because I had to send it back to Dell. He said they would work on it and would be ready later today. True to his word, I received a call from them about 3 hours later and they said job was done and to come in and pick up my PC. This was a supremely satisfying experience. He was very polite, professional and accommodating.
And most of all the faulty motherboard was placed in the package and put in the box so I would be able to send it all back to Dell. I would highly recommend this provider.
But they easily accomplished a custom installation and the drive has worked flawlessly ever since. I will happily use them again if/when one of my computers needs their service.
I took it to the USA Computer Store and was told they would work on that day. Four hours later, I received a call that it was fixed. The problem had been a failed power supply and the cost for the diagnosis and repair, including the new power supply and sales tax was $120. I could not have been more pleased.
