UPDATE: 12/2023: The Broward County Court awarded a Final Judgement in my favor, calling my floor installation with Milano a total loss. Milano has yet to pay the judgment. Milano is the worst contractor I ever hired. He is not licensed, not insured or bonded, unprofessional, incompetent, dishonest and worst of all damaged my property. My floor is horrendous, he damaged my driveway paver stones leaving a trail of epoxy, he stained my newly installed red oak staircase, left epoxy dry all over my granite thresholds at the bathroom door, and spilled epoxy all over my garage too. Milano came to my house, showed me a contractor certificate of competency license that turned out to not belong to him and his company Ultimate Floors, but to a similarly named company that is properly licensed, â Ultimate Flooringâ in nearby Pompano Beach. He then proceeded to measure and gave me a quote to install the metallic epoxy with myself removing the tiles and baseboards and got $2k up front deposit. When he sent me the contract days later, he changed the contract for "over tiles", told me that as I was on the 2nd floor he couldn't bring his machines and told me making over the tile would bring the same result. The day of the installation, he told me there was a 10% chance of the tiles showing up, but if I wanted to make sure it would not I could give him extra $500 for more materials what I did. He didn't sand the tiles, fill in the tile grout to even the surface, vacuum the floor or do any prep whatsoever except pass a paper towel with some alcohol on it. My floors are full of bubbles, has human hair saturated in the epoxy, tile marks showing everywhere and less than 2 months later it's cracking and has areas that never dried because he didn't mix properly. He tried to charged me $2k to come to fix, sent his helper Bruno who told me Milano damages everybody's property. Milano also sent me a fake invoice from his supplier. He attends all issues by phone as to not leave any evidence in writing. His work always involve charging for extras in the middle of the job and after. Also he always asks for an initial deposit for materials in the estimate day claiming it's refundable and if you check in BROWARD COUNTY COURT and his reviews in other websites he doesn't refund the amount if you decide to don't do the project. Milano was given a ticket by code enforcement in February 2022 for ENGAGING IN CONTRACT WITHOUT A LICENSE. He was adjudicated guilty and never paid the fine even until now, that the county has a lien attached to his property. Dealing with him is a nightmare, it doesn't go anywhere and he is not prepared to do the job. Also his project gallery are full of plagiarized pictures of real jobs by other contractors across google, not his projects. My advice is for you to go find a more reliable contractor that at least holds a certificate of competency that is properly bonded and insured, what is required in FL.

I didn't know where to start when I hired Milano, even after seeing the negative google reviews I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt. Everything that everyone said was correct: he is not punctual, nor is he licensed. Despite this, I hired him based on the epoxy images of his work that he had posted. However, after analyzing his finished product, I discovered that the images he claimed were his were not. He is a fraud, using stolen images from the internet to misrepresent his work. This is very disappointing. I tried to be understanding, but I have come to realize that he truly doesn't know what he is doing. I could have done the work myself. Please be aware that he may change his business name at some point to hide his past, but at the end of the day, no matter how much you change your name, you can't change your work ethic nor the quality of your work.

Nick not only re-scheduled me a bunch of times, but he also he showed up at 4:00 pm at my house when he was supposed to be there at 10 am that day. He just threw 3 buckets of epoxy and was gone in about 2 hours leaving an uncompleted project. I was not expecting my floors to be 100% perfect (because you get what you paid for) but in this case there are like sharp rocks coming from the floor and it is horrible. I reached back out to him to come and fix everything. He agreed to fix the screw-ups and asked me to pay for his helper and I agreed to. The day that he was on his way I had an emergency and had to leave, asked him to re-schedule, and he said no problem. Almost a year later he does not answer my phone calls. Lesson learned, never do business with a person who requires a deposit and re-schedules 3 times.

Milano was great. He responded immediately and was able to do the job in a few days. The work was done on time and for the reasonable price he quoted. The final product of a Coated and sealed garage floor looks wonderful. I highly recommend this company.

I had a 50-year-old garage floor that had had lots of use and no care. I search the installers in this business and decided on an epoxy finish. Epoxy has several levels of quality and the installers had several layers of experience. In using an epoxy finish, the preparation of the surface and the high quality of the epoxy was tops on my list. I had the phone number of the manufacturer of the epoxy and called to ask about its performance test as a garage floor coating. I verified the name of the manufacture on the sealed epoxy cans at the time they were opened. I settled on Ultimate Floors to do the job. The owner showed up to supervise the entire process. I got what I paid for. It was not the lowest price but I got a quality floor at a competitive price.

Milano is a true professional. After sealing and coating my floor he came out and made additional fixes to make it almost perfect. He advised me that no garage floor is the same and has gone above and beyond to make it right. We are in the process of making the floor perfect with an additional coat and touch up flake. I appreciate his willingness to go above and beyond to make this work. He is coming in the next few days to seal and protect the floor to make it guaranteed. He is truly a man of his word, has spent over an hour on the phone and is coming out on Sunday to seal the floor. Thanks again and looking forward to a perfect floor. The contractor was not qualified to do job. Showed up late. No proper tools or machines. Did job way too quickly and now floor looks bad. We have had several discussions with Milano on how to fix the problem. All solutions involve additional expense to us. It is now ten days since original application. Contractor is proposing that another specialist come in to sand original epoxy and reapply. Meanwhile our garage is out of service.

Extremely unprofessional. Did not deliver what he had promised. Damaged my property.

I got a text from Ultimate Floors (Melano Costello) on Monday Sept. 17 at 9AM. I called Melano and I explained that I had tile floor in my garage. He explained that he had coated tile floor before and coating the tile with epoxy wasn't an issue. He explained the installation process, it sounded good and I agreed to hire him to coat my 400 square foot garage floor with epoxy. He said he would arrive at 8:30AM Tuesday morning, the next day. Tuesday morning he did not show up. I sent him a text at 9:00AM to see where he was. He said he was stuck in traffic and wouldn't get to me until 10:30AM. At 10:23 AM he sends me a text that he won't arrive until 11:45AM. He finally arrives at 1:10PM! I should have asked him to get back in his truck at that point. 4 hours late is a major red flag and this was flaky behavior. His excuse was it was "one of those days." Melano had one helper with him whom he had hired for the day. The helper didn't seem to have much experience with epoxy flooring. I was not impressed. I told them I was concerned that the grout lines were too deep but I was reassured that they would be 95% covered. That sounded pretty good, so I let them proceed. Melano and his helper swept the floor a little, then used my blower to blow out any dust (they forgot to bring their own blower). They then poured a couple of gallons of denatured alcohol on my tile floor, waited for it to dry. They then poured 3 gallons of epoxy on my floor, spread it around and threw decorative colored flakes on the floor. They were done by 4:00PM. I was not pleased at all with the work. It was a mess. The colored flakes where thrown around in clumps, not spread uniformly and it looked very hastily done. I could still see all of the edges of the tiles. Some areas were not covered. I was told that the epoxy would expand and fill in the bare areas and it would all be OK. Melano kept reassuring me that it would look better once it cured and he would make it right if not. Not knowing anything about epoxy floors I wrote him a check for the full amount, $1,680. I inspected the floor the next day. The epoxy did not expand and all issues from the day before remained. I called Melano and he recommended a second coat. I would only pay for the material if we did a second coat. However, later that day I noticed a section of epoxy that looked loose. I grabbed a small paint scraper was able to remove a large sheet of epoxy with very little effort. The epoxy did not bond to the tiles at all. The epoxy coat was a total loss. I sent Milano text messages message with photos attached and we discussed it. I asked him for a full refund. He insisted that he'd come back and remove my tile and try again, but I told him I did not trust him to do any more work for me and I was only interested in being reimbursed. He said he would bring me some cash in October after his next epoxy project. This is a side business for him and in my opinion he doesn't know what he is doing. T

Melano and his team did a great job coating my garage floor. The work looks perfect and makes a huge difference in my garage. It’s like a brand new space. They were timely, professional and clean. I couldn’t ask for a better job. It was so good, I had them do some extra work around the house. I would recommend them to anyone looking for epoxying their garage floor or black topping their driveway.
