Remodeling the entire interior of my residential home. Taylor Construction did a fantastic job of remodeling three bedrooms three bathrooms kitchen living room and dining room. All the construction that was done was better than what I imagined it would be. Thaler Construction did a excellent job at a reasonable price. If you were having this type of work done I would highly recommend that you utilize ThalerConstruction.

I put in a request for a quote here on Angie's List and never heard from them. Apparently they are either too busy or not interested. Other companies responded and we hired someone else.

Mike's team demolished my existing dock, stringers and ledger board and replaced all with a new dock (60'x5') using marine grade lumber and stainless fasteners. Considering how long the city takes to execute the permitting process, they completed the job as fast as possible. Mike is very honest and will not cut corners. His crew is very friendly and trustworthy. The final result is beautiful and I'm sure will last.

I had contracted with Island Marine Contractors and I dealt with Michael Thaler. We found him to be very confident, competent and meticulous to detail. There were a lot of meetings concerning our plans of what we wanted to have done and what type of products we had researched and collaborated on. The work that we had done was extensive. We had an expectation of what we wanted, but what was valuable was the input from Michael Thaler. He provided some insight that we originally didn't think of. This collaboration with him gave us a finished product that we were extremely happy with. All the work has been completed. I believe it was done in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. Based on all the work that was done inside and out of our house. We could not be more satisfied with the finished product and would highly recommend Michael Thaler to anyone that has this type of major work done. I have recommended him to family and friends.

Michael did an excellent job and followed through on all the necessary permits, engineers, plans, and inspections needed for the city. He replaced lighting, and improved the appearance and structure of my dock. I would highly recommend this company!

Thaler construction built us a new dock. Our dock was falling in the water so I decided to call. Mike the owner came out gave us a very fair estimate and was on time. I highly recommend this company. They are very professional. We had them put down composit decking and all new supports. They used all stainless steel hardware which was a plus. Many other company's that I had called said they use galvanized steel. I feel that this dock was built to last a life time.

It didn't.The job never got going. Honestly I do not know the quality of work. My biggest problem was lack or no communication. The last time I spoke to Mike I told him I would call him back. Two days later I call, text and call. No responses. I did leave messages as well. I was disappointed because he was referred by someone I used to work with.

Everything went great,,Mike kept in constant touch with me as well as other tradesmen,,,I also kept in touch with him on a daily basis,,Mike is very organized and had all tradesmen lined up ahead of time and constantly checked on their work and handled any of my concerns.

I spoke with the provider and he agreed to come to my house to review the work needed. He told me he would call me in the next few days to schedule and asked me to send me a text message with my address. I sent the address and got a reply. When he did not call to schedule the appointment I sent a message asking him to call which he ignored. While I feel bad giving an F review for someone who didn't do work for me, I do believe it is justified. This is an all-too-common problem on Angie's list. Providers receive good reviews, it generates a lot of business, and they simply can't keep up with their leads. Angie's List should provide training aimed at highly rated providers that explains how to politely decline business they can't accommodate. It is very frustrating to invest time engaging a provider who then becomes non responsive. If Michael had politely declined the business I would have moved on to the next provider. I actually had another provider do this for a different project -- this kind of honesty is rare but greatly appreciated and I hope that Angie's List implements policies and guidelines to address this.

Mike Thaler is a very professional, responsible contractor. He always arrived on time, was courteous, and cleaned up the job site when finished each day. He was quick to respond to my calls and was a good communicator. He offer us a variety of materials to choose from. We choose wood over composite boards and used stainless steel fasteners. He charged a fair price. Although decks and docks are his speciality, he does all remodel work as well. We will use Thaler Construction again.

He arrived on time and was extremely meticulous in the work he performed. What I liked the most about him was he installed the doors like he was installing the doors to his own home. He took the time, did everything to code, so we had no issues with the city inspection and the inspector was impressed with the work. He cleaned up after himself and ensured that I was completely 100% happy with my new doors. When the next home construction job comes along, he will be the first person I call!

Mike is very good and professional. He did plans for the project. He got the permits needed. He shows up when he states and calls all the time if there is any issues or questions. We were not there and he sent us pictures of the progress. He is very enjoyable to work with. There was a lot of work. It was removal of wood dock. Jack hammer the concrete bump outs. Install concrete and wood corner. Remove brick planter. Regarding the windows one was really rotten and he replaced the rotten wood, did an excellent job on the windows. Yes I will be using Mike again in the future and will recommend to people in the future.
