Stay AWAY from this company! They were the highest in price, we only chose them since we are not local and didn't want to deal with anything ourselves. We were definitely wrong, we contracted them to build a small pool in our backyard, very simple and straight forward, the first issue was with them demolishing our entire backyard as opposed to digging in the necessary areas, At least $7k worth of palm trees, flowers, garden tools and a fountain went down the drain, (I don't think SCOTT was ever there to supervise!), We verbally agreed of a few other items and non of them were done.every step of the way was suddenly an issue... They seem legit but they are very cold and mean, Do not CALL them

Signature Pools does quality work and efficiently. They did all the work in the exact timetable they said, this is VERY unusual for South Florida. You will see by the photo they do beautiful work. They biggest gripe I have is how brusque Scott was to me on several occasions. Each time I started to ask questions he'd cut me off and said quit looking on the internet and talking with neighbors. In the end he was right, but this was a huge expense for me and I wanted it done how I wanted (you know, I'm paying and the customer). When they came to clear the yard they had to do a lot more work then they were expecting to as I threw out my back trying to clear the backyard. The entire time I heard him complaining about me while he and his crew did the work. I understood it, but it surprised me and I said nothing, probably because I was on muscle relaxers. With all that said, I would hire them in a heartbeat again. I learned a lot and am very happy with my pool. Just being to feel like an idiot when I have questions was the worse part, but though he is gruff, he is very knowledgeable and responsive. Also know they hire a company to start your pool for the first 30 days which is very important and must be done correctly. This was just one of many things they did to ensure a quality product.

Scott and his team completed the project at our new home in Wilton Manors in less than 5 weeks. (Yes 5!). Stephanie told me it could take up to 3 months but everything came together without any problems and the weather was on our side so the rocked it out! We put in a 10,000 gallon “L” shaped salt water pool with a sun shelf, a bubbler and fancy lighting. The only additional cost we incurred was an upgrade to a mosaic tile around the top of the pool but the price was very reasonable. We can’t be more happy with the final results. We’d definitely recommend Signature to anyone looking for a top notch pool!

5 weeks and 2 days from the dig and the pool was done. No surprises. Fair pricing and we didn't have to worry about a thing. Scott and Stephanie know their business and fantastic customer service. 100% recommendation.

As a rookie at building a pool, I truly had no idea what to expect.  So like any major home improvement first-timer, I immediately consulted with family and friends who proceeded to passionately inform me of all their pool builder horror stories.  They didn't seem to have a rhyme or reason, nor matter which builder was chosen, everyone seemed to have their own pool building horror story.  
I then decided to start looking at Angie's List for pool builders.  Based on AL reviews and family/friends, I narrowed my search down to 5 potential builders to get bids from.  After getting 5 similarly priced bids, I decided to hold off on the entire project.  This was partially out of sticker shock on the prices, but mostly because I was concerned about choosing the right builder.  Those family and friends stories weighed heavily on my mind.  So I watched Angie's List and waited.  And watched and waited some more.  Finally a little over a year later, after tracking all 5 pool builder AL reviews, I was much more confident in who the right builder was.  The choice became obvious - we were going to put our trust with Stephanie and Scott Taggert , the owners of Signature Pools and Spas.             
Now, after successfully going through the entire process with Signature Pools, I can see how pool builders get a bad rep.  To put it quite simply - building a pool is not easy!  It's a tough business with many unpredictable physical, environmental, and psychological elements to deal with.  Building a pool is a process that takes time, patience, planning, communication, a bunch of science and a whole bunch of art.  Signature Pools and Spas performed all these tasks and more with great skill.  I can say with true confidence that Stephanie and Scott are true masters of their craft, take pride in their work, and are honest and fair in their business dealings.
So as I said, after a year or so of monitoring, I called Stephanie back and told her we would like to proceed with Signature.  Despite their costs increasing over the time period and it clearly labeled on their estimate that it's good for only 30 days, they agreed to honor the price given to us nearly 14 month prior - a real show of good faith.  Further, their bid was one of the few that was fully itemized which again instilled confidence.  I highly recommend insisting on an itemized bids with any builder so you know exactly what everything costs and can appropriately compare apples to apples bids.    
We thought we knew what we wanted in terms of size and design, but after major consultation with Stephanie and Scott, their expertise convinced us to change the design - and boy am I glad they did.  This was a true value add as it was clear that they wanted just as much as we did to build a pool that will not only be functional and beautiful, but also something that will be resell-able and add value to the home.  With their help and patience, we went back and forth on design for a couple of weeks and landed on complete demolition of our old pool to be replaced with a straight-lined 38 x 17 rectangular pool, with a huge spa and large sunshelf w/ bubbler, LED lighting (a true MUST!), a huge HE heater, salt filtration and automated controls.   
From there, Stephanie worked with us and the appropriate city departments and HOA to get all the permitting.  Permitting took some time, through no fault of Signature, but they were diligent in following up and pushing the approval through.
 Stephanie and Scott also personally helped us chose the new decking, tile, coping and finishes.  A fun yet challenging task.  They each have a great eye for colors and textures and tailored their recommendations towards our personal preferences.  They have a large and great selection of standard tile and decking that are NOT considered upgrades for which they charge extra.  This is something that could be a real gotcha with other pool builders, but just speaks to Signature's integrity that they don't play that game.  Sure, there are upgrades available, and we chose to upgrade to iridescent glass tile, but their was plenty of standard selection which would have looked great and in no way, shape, or form did I feel we were being up-sold or pushed into upgrades.  In fact, it was the opposite.  They were consistently telling us why we didn't need to upgrade.  In the end, and we didn't know it at the time, all their recommendations were spot on and the pool/spa is gorgeous.     
Once we received the permits, construction - or in our case demolition - began immediately.  After about 8 weeks, the pool was almost done, however we dropped a bombshell on them - we asked to do a slight modification in design.  Despite the fact it would push the completion of the job back a month, Signature was more than accommodating with our change request. They even offered suggestions on how to best accomplish it.   All in all the entire construction took a little under 3 months (one month delay was our doing) with steady progress all along the way. 
All of Signatures workers were professional and hard working.  Our HOA, who can be nit-picky, had zero issues with them the entire time.  Signature honored the HOA rules for vendors and cleaned up after themselves nightly. Just chatting with the different crews and seeing the final result, it's obvious they too take pride in their work and enjoy seeing their craftsmanship appreciated.
Scott personally oversaw each phase of the build and ensured the craftsmanship was of the highest standard.  Scott even measured me (6'1") and my wife (5'2") so that he could build the spa in a way that varied the height on the spa benches and jets so that it would be comfortable to each of us.  Scott personally did that work on the spa jets/benches, ensuring they were the right height so that both my wife and I could rotate around the spa getting a massage at different muscle points for each of us at the right height.  We were blown away that Scott and Signature would take the extra time and extra effort to make our spa experience as pleasurable as possible. THAT shows true passion and pride of work - and the result is amazing.  We have never ever sat in a spa that was so functional and pleasurable.     
All of our work was completed a few weeks ago, permits closed out last week, and we couldn't be more thrilled with the result.
I highly recommend Signature Pools and Spas and the dynamic duo of Stephanie and Scott.  They were fairly priced, easy to work with, honest, had great recommendations, and built an amazing pool/spa.  I cannot stress how much pride Stephanie and Scott take in their work - and it shows in the final result.  They are true masters of the art of the craft and we are so thankful and appreciative of the amazing job they did.

Beautiful Pool complete, permits closed out - 6 weeks from permits issued to project complete including a 2 week weather interference. We reviewed 10 pools vendors, a few are now out of business and Signature Pools was top of our list. We recently did a Master Bath addition and had a horrible contractor experience, so we were very weary of not being left in the wind. Scott and Stephanie at Signature were a pleasure to do business with, I found them on Angie's list. Scott brought unique ideas on the pool layout that 9 other vendors did not and priced to meet our budget and inline with other quotes. The wife and 2 year old son Highly Recommend.

So far so good.  Stephanie was/is the front contact person and she was/is very nice to speak with & she is quick to follow-up.  She sent Scott out right away. We interviewed three other local company's with good reputations (only hated one... the sales person scoffed when we told her we didn't plan on spending at least $50,000.. they didn't even bother following up with a quote).  Scott's hands on approach and tactical vision sold us on Signature Pools.  We are only in the permit phase right now, but they have kept us informed along the way and got on the project immediately.  I'll report back, but so far we are very satisfied.

Our experience with them was absolutely awesome and excellent.  The quality, timeliness and the expertise that they have were impeccable.  I would definitely recommend them to anybody.  They are not the cheapest ones by any means but they do excellent work, very top quality.  I was very impressed with their expertise.  Their price was reasonable.

After making initial phone contact, an appointment was set for 5pm - Scott showed up on the dot and from there, I cannot say enough about the professionalism and concern that I was treated with.  I knew they were the company for me - I could just sense that he understood what it was I wanted after we talked for a while.  I signed my contract on 7/12/13, they broke ground on 8/12/13, and the pool was COMPLETE by 9/12/13!!   I was guided through each phase of the construction and even with some minor hiccups with the permitting folks, Stephanie saw me through it and even met me at the Permitting Office on a Wed morning at 8am to help me walk a change through.  There were NO surprises, they were extremely clean and respectful around my property (I even saw Scott come back to the job site in the evenings to make sure the other workers properly replaced the temporary construction fence since I have a dog).  
When it was all said and done, Stephanie and Scott both took time on a Sunday morning to come show me how to work everything, give me my warranty manual, and to ensure I was happy with it all.  While they were there, Stephanie noticed a 'pit' in one of the travertine tiles and Scott changed it out right there and then.  If that's not commitment to achieving the best possible results of a job they just completed, I don't know what is.  
I cannot recommend Signature Pools enough or speak more highly about the Taggerts.  Thanks again for making a huge project seem manageable, all due to your knowledge, persistence, hard work and care.

Where to begin.  From the initial consultation we had with Scott we knew this was going to be a great experience.  The effort and thought he put into our plan and drafting was both brilliant and very considerate to our taste and yard.  He and his wife Stephanie even came out on a Holiday to make sure we were happy with the design and how it would be laid out in the yard.  They trusted us as clients and treated us with respect which I haven't seen in my five years in Florida.  Everyone seems to distrust everyone....but that's a different story.  So, they submitted for permits and the second everything was approved we had a hole in the ground, the next day we had it completely framed out then another inspection and within a few days total we had gunite and it looked like a pool with a light, bubbler and all.  We were shocked!  They have been extremely neat which was important to me and have been so respectfully of our existing landscape and patio's since we had just done a previous renovation with Crowne Pavers that didn't go well at all.  We are extremely picky people with high standards to live up to and they have exceeded our expectations.  We can't wait till the finished product but even with a concrete hole in the back yard and tile on the way, we couldn't be happier with the whole experience.  Oh and both Scott and Stephanie are hands on people and we even caught him digging in the pool along with everyone else late at night to help get it done for inspection.  Now that's what I'm talking about......

The process was easy and fast, they did an amazing job!

We hired Signature Pools and Spas to build our pool after talking with them and one other company. Signature's price was comparable to the other custom pool company, but we went with Scott and Stephanie because they have a great eye for design and build really beautiful pools. They were confident about what kind of size and shape would work with our space, which is pretty small.
They were so easy to work with, always available, and very patient with our never-ending questions. We heard lots of horror stories about how long these projects can drag on, contractors who disappear, etc. It was nerve wracking to take the plunge, so to speak. But the whole process was fantastic. From the very beginning, they were quick and professional--every step proceeded faster than we imagined. They worked on weekends, in driving rain, in the evenings, and so on. With Scott on the job and Stephanie in the office, there was always an experienced, knowledgeable person available to answer our questions, explain what was happening, get something done, etc.
The pool construction was completed in five weeks. We couldn't believe it, nor could our friends and neighbors. And it looks really beautiful. We are thrilled. We could not give them a high enough recommendation.

They did a great job....took forever. I would use them again

I started by asking friends and neighbors for recommendations. The warnings began. Your yard will be torn up forever. They never finish when they say they will. It went on and on. I can’t remember how I found Scott and Signature pools but it was the best experience with a contractor I have had in all my years in South Fla. It was not a simple job and it was not a simple location to build a pool and spa. They did what they said they would do for how much and when. Great job. Great people.

THEY DID A VERY HIGH QUALITY JOB. THE PRICE COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE LOWER. THEY ARRIVED TO MY HOUSE LATE BUT, THEY GOT RIGHT TO WORK. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS.
