All the good reviews that you may see on this store were installed by me and my team, but after another $17k plus hit I quitted! I worked for John for over a decade and after 13 years I cant take no more! Im writtting this review to warn future customers that the money he used to pay for your floors is gone! What he does is this: he will take your deposit, tell you that it will take weeks to get the product, Use that money to pay other things, hope that a new customer will come and give another deposit to pay for your product, but when that didnt happen he would hold on to my money and use that to pay for the product, and when it was time to repay me, he would cut part of it and push to "next payment"! By doing that the snowball rolled to more than $30k and now that he doesnt have that "bank" along him, be careful! I thought he was an honest man, even going against what a lot o people say about him, but after what he did last time (holding $17k from a job done at the JCC Pembroke Pines.)saying he will have to repay for a job done in August that a glue failure resulted in replacement of 1200 feet, which he tried really hard to blame me (when we both know he changed the glue we being using for more than 7 years to a glue $20 / a bucket cheaper to "try it out"). I even knowing it was not my fault said...its ok, ill replace the floor, but pay me for what you own me from last job, well he didnt! It was just an excuse to hold my money which he spent it already! So again....be careful, im not there to help pay for your material anymore!

Horrible. I had used Sawgrass Floors twice before for my house and was very happy with them but then hired Sawgrass Floors for my condo and had nothing but problems. First with their one installer who chatted on the phone incessantly and was late to the job. I had told John (owner) we needed two installers and only when the wood floor was ready to install did he send two. I understand that I changed my mind with vinyl originally to wood, and then there was, according to him, product availability, but was told that my order was sent to another customer. The delays created two months of living wit just a concrete floor. Although there were changes made, I no longer felt like a preferred customer and my calls were only responded to when he wanted he money. I paid dearly for those changes, so Sawgrass did not get hurt in the process. Because John & his crew were so anxious to get out of our apartment, they left the floors and thresholds with glue on them and didn’t even clean up the entire floor. We’re. Still cleaning up after the mess left behind. All I can say is beware as I don’t think John has enough installers on hand and probably is taking on too many jobs just for the money. He never returns my calls or emails…that’s service for you!

"Hello, I am really surprised to see this review. You mentioned that you had changed your mind from vinyl to wood, but you did not mention that you changed your mind not once but twice on the vinyl product. When you changed your mind on the second vinyl color, we went out on our scheduled installation date, installed half of the floor. That is when you had a change of heart about your selection. Not a problem, my goal is for my customers to be happy. It took some time and several trips to the showroom to finally select the product you wanted. That process took about three weeks. The wood comes from Brazil so there was a slight shipping delay. Once the product arrived you cancelled the scheduled installation on a couple of occasions due to health issues. One of the times the installers were in route. I have had the same installers for years. The fact is I had to get a different installer to come to your house because of the many cancellations on your end. So the next time you leave a review, please state all the facts. Your delays were self-inflicted. The monies you mentioned were for re-stocking fee's and partial installation of the product you no longer wanted. Our records indicate that you had only called the store once, does that merit a comment like "I do not return your calls" I wish you the best and thank you for being a Sawgrass Floors customer."

Friendly staff that can lay laminate flooring, but do not expect a quality finished product!! The company responded to our request within a day and the owner personally came to our home and measured the bedrooms. The owner and office staff were warm and friendly and helpful in selecting laminate colors. The installers were friendly and professional; however, they clearly did not understand the varying heights of the floors. Once the floors were installed, the installers put the baseboards back on leaving a 1/4 inch of unpainted and scuffed up surface above the baseboard. Once the installers realized the flooring was lower than the previous flooring, they should have called us and asked our opinion on what to do. Instead of calling us, they went ahead and put all the baseboards on. When I told them I was not satisfied, they told me "our painter would have to fix the walls" (our walls had just been painted and now they look awful). The owner did call and ask about the finished product and I told him our dissatisfaction. He told us he could put a higher baseboard on and sent us an estimate. The estimate included a $250 removal of the existing baseboards. The installers were short one threshold and it took them several weeks to come to our home to install it. I'm sure if I wouldn't have paid in full, it would've been completed much faster. Two of the thresholds have come off the floor since installation and one of the thresholds is too high to close the door so we are going to have to take the door off and sand it down ourselves.

"Hello Mrs. [Member Name Removed], I am sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with your flooring. There seems to be a misunderstanding about the baseboard estimate and the flooring height. I came out to the job during the installation process and noticed that there was a discrepancy in the height in two of the rooms and recommended that we install a 1/2" cork which you concurred. When the installers were re-installing your existing baseboard they pointed out that you may need a taller base and according to my installers you said no. The price of $250 was to remove the base, reinstall it and add 1/4 round was one of the options we offered you, the other option was installing a taller baseboard 7-1/4" tall at $3.00 a linear foot. This estimate included the removal and also was the cost of the doing job, no profit was included. Once I sent the estimates I never heard form you, As far as the molding....the product was special order and at that time the molding was backordered. As soon as it came in we scheduled the installation. Again, I apologize for the misunderstanding of the estimate and your dissatisfaction of your floor. If there is anything we can do for you please let us know. Our goal is to make you happy. Remember, that I carry a two year warranty on the labor and your product carries a 30 year warranty. John is outstanding.  He worked with us from our first "just browsing" visit all the way through installation.  John hauled several (very heavy) tile samples out to our house for us to see while he measured our space, and stood by patiently as we hemmed and hawed.  We had a specific installation date, as we were redoing the flooring as part of a larger remodel, and he was able to commit to the dates we needed.  He was even able to arrange to have our existing tile removed on short notice, after we realized that our efforts to make that a DIY job was a bad idea.  
The first day of installation, the installer (also very capable and personable) indicated that we needed to have our floor floated in places, which did put us behind schedule just a little, but it was done at no additional cost.  Overall, the whole service was excellent, and we will go back to John when we're in the market for flooring again.

They were wonderful! The one we had came as a package deal - we bought the flooring and had them install it. I can't remember exactly how much I paid for the service but it sure was reasonable.

Subcontractors got lost were 4 hrs. late, started work laying carpet needed to leave for carpet tape got lost again after we drew a map and wrote instructions
Subcontractors who laid wood floor had to come back 3 times to finish job correctly did not finish connecting wood floor to carpet floor and we just gave up calling them back!  Laid floor at shower door and we couldn't open door enough to get in the shower.

I went to the showroom and looked at several samples of laminate.  John came to my home, on time and brought the samples.  He took measurements and provided a written estimate which he reviewed with me in detail.  He arrived on time, and explained the process.  He also showed pictures of several installations which looked very good.  His pricing was very fair and he was very professional and provided appropriate follow-up.  Although I ultimately went with a different vendor because I liked the product a little more, I would have no hesitation about hiring Sawgrass.

I went to the showroom to decide which pattern to pick. John the owner, was very patient and showed me many varieties to choose from. The installer was very friendly and took the time to make sure the laminate was installed in place properly. I would highly recommend this company.
