I couldn't be more pleased with my decision to hire RF Wood & Design to build additional cabinets for my kitchen. Rasin was able to perfectly match my existing cabinetry - including the paint color and finish. From our first conversation until the final installation, it was obvious that Rasin is a master craftsman who loves what he does. His attention to detail is unmatched and is his commitment to delivering a high quality product that meets all expectations. He delivered exactly what I asked for, in a timely manner (a rarity these days). Whether you need your entire kitchen remodeled, or just adding some cabinets, I highly recommend Rasin. Rasin built us an amazing home library complete with LED strips behind frosted glass. Everyone who has seen the job has been in awe of the craftsmanship. You won't find a flaw in his work. He is the most precise carpenter that I have had the pleasure of working with - I'd consider him to be somewhat of a perfectionist. Most importantly, the project was completed on time and looks better than we could have ever imagined.

Excellent, excellent, excellent

Racin's work is amazing. We live in an older home - built in the early 1950's. Closet space is minimal. Racin redesigned both of our master bedroom closets. He was responsive - promptly returning all calls and texts. He was on time. He was efficient. We had some ideas, but Racin's experience took our novice plans to a new level. He is a perfectionist and his woodwork is impeccable. Our new closets are functional and beautiful! Highly recommend!

RF Wood and Design was extremely professional, knowledgeable and willing to work with us. Rasin technical and artistic abilities are the best I've witnessed. He is very easy to work with taking your examples and brings in his expertise. I would recommend him over any cabinet maker in the area.

I had less then a week to make this happen. I had to design, source materials and manufacture this trunk in one week and Rasin did the carpentry to make it possible. It turned out perfect and the clients where extremely impressed with the quality, and design. It is now on tour with an international star. His standards of high quality and perfection were needed and he met the challenge for me and my clients. I would recommend him for any quality woodwork project where excellent creative design and perfect manufacturing is required.

Rasin does fabulous quality work! He was able to make us a gorgeous unit that I designed at a third to half the cost of other quotes I had received. He came out to our house to measure the area and design it and drew it up immediately. He recommended a great place for me to go pick up my veneer and the handles too so those costs were completely transparent. Once he had the veneer he made it in only 4 days. Then he came and installed it in our house and even mounted the TV for us. He cleaned up nicely as well. Once he had left I realized we would need a few more holes drilled for all of our electronics and he came back the next morning and did it promptly at no additional charge! It is truly even more beautiful than I had imagined! (Pic below, ignore the ugly baby-proofed corner bumpers). I also tried to overpay him for the unit, and he was very quick to point it out and return the extra money! Rasin and the unit have completely exceeded our expectations. Will definitely use him in the future!

Could not have gone better. The owner went out-of-his way to satisfy my every wish. He did extra things as well - He was on time, cleaned up after the installation; he and his crew could not have been nicer. I would not allow him to take a picture until the artwork, sculptures, and nick-nacks are in place. At that point I can show off his excellent craftsmanship and my unique design for the space.

Rasin (his name is pronounced rahseen) is an excellent craftsman. The work was done on time and with exceptional care to detail. If he has any fault it is a tendency for forgetfulness, but he makes good on any details that he forgot, and is a very pleasant and meticulous man. We are highly pleased with his work and recommend him and his company, R F Wood & Design with no reservations.

It went very well. The cabinet came out beautiful and the installation was very professional.

The work performed was exceptional on all levels. The quality and craftsmanship were far and away superior to any other work that I had done previously, definitely consistent with his moniker "German quality". Prices were very competitive, actually less than another local carpenter whose work had to be repaired twice. Should also mention that Rasin (the proprietor) was extremely punctual, and he always lived up to his initial price and time estimate without exception. Very highly recommended. Would definitely use him again. Quite frankly, if he is available there is really no reason to consider anyone else!

Rasin was very responsive, punctual and professional in arriving for appointments, providing a detailed written estimate, and completing the work as promised, on budget, and on time. We are very pleased with our gorgeous new cabinets!

From the minute we first met with Rasin until the completion of our unit, our experience was wonderful. He came to our house to measure the space, taking precision notes and making detailed drawings. We had actually designed the piece but he added a lot of great suggestions. He spent a lot of time discussing the details of the finished product, making sure we were all on the same page. We visited his shop where he showed us the unfinished piece so we could see it's progress. We had a very difficult design component as part of the unit which he handled with perfection, making sure it would fit perfectly into the space. This was not a simple piece to construct given the fact that it had to fit between two walls while making sure it's curved top maintained the same radius as the window directly below.
Rasin did exactly what he said he was going to do in exactly the time frame promised. He came with one helper to install it who was extremely knowledgable and careful.
The unit went in very well, with just some minor adjustments to make it fit perfectly. We are thrilled with his work and our finished product. Even his paint job was exceptional.
I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend him. 

We got the name of this company from Angie's List. As usual we were very pleased with all aspects. The owner came to our home to see the space and hear our vision of what we wanted. He was thoroughly competent, drawing it out and explaining to us when practicalities would interfere. We took a trip up to his ultra professional workshop. We knew he would do a wonderful job. He came back again to see us to finalize details. On the delivery day, he brought everything and put the large unit together in the room. It is beautiful beyond our wildest dreams! He came back again after that to check how it was settling and to perform tiny adjustments to the hinges on the doors. We are completely satisfied and plan to call this company again when we renovate our kitchen and bathrooms next fall.

R F Wood and Design was the first to call me back, very quick to set up an appointment, and always on time. Service was prompt, courteous and efficient and the quality make it look like new (maybe even a little better). The price was reasonable and I would look to them again should I have any other jobs.

Besides being a master craftsman evidenced by his fastidious planning, which reflects his European training and apprenticeship, he also more than measures up to the second part of the company name --" Design."   He came up with an inventive concept of changing our existing  matching cherry wood headboards to create a new "interior designer's look" to our previous staid bedroom.  And all was done within his original cost estimate.
It was a pleasure having Rasin do his work in our home.  We won't hesitate calling him again if some other project comes up.

Rasin was very professional and responsive to our request and our many questions during the project. We have an odd-shaped space, and he worked with us to come up with the design that would be the most functional for our space and also provide the additional storage that we were looking for.  He met with us twice before starting work, and then completed the work in a timely manner.  He was prompt for every in-person visit and the installation of the finished product.

I wanted to turn one of the rooms in my home into a fully wood paneled office and media room with acoustic paneling. The whole room was covered in dark maple with full floor to ceiling wood paneling and custom acoustic inserts. Coffers were custom made for the home theater section and tongue and groove with wooden beams were installed over the office area. The office has a custom wrap around desk with many drawers and trays for all my equipment. While I had some preliminary plans drawn up it would not have been impossible without the expertise of Wood and Design. They came up with all the solutions that a designer can't. Everything is top notch quality and extremely durable. Rather than using a nail gun and making tons of holes all over the place, everything was installed with concealed durable screws that should last a lifetime. More importantly this is one of the only times I had the pleasure of working with a carpenter. They are very flexible, knowledgable and extremely fair when it comes to pricing. I speak from experience. I have hired plenty of carpenters to work on many projects in the past and this was the best!
