Excellent. They were on time, replaced my shower/tub hardware, cleaned up and were done quickly..

Their original estimate was half of what the price turned out to be. They charged me on an hourly basis instead of doing a packaged deal and I believe they worked extra slow to be paid extra money. I feel this company is dishonest and would never work with them again.

First of all the plans these guys submitted to the city failed because they didn't draw them up correct. This resulted in a week's delay of the project. When the work was ready to be done, these people showed up the first two days, but were a no show on the third day, when I had arranged for the tile guy and GC to meet with them to pitch the shower floor. Because it is so difficult to get all of these people together at the same time (due to varying availability) the project was delayed yet another week and having people come back out to the job site cost me extra money (being charged on an hourly basis). The original estimate for this project was around $3000, but jumped to $4500--and this is on top of the extra money they cost me for the inconvenience in not showing up on the job the third day! I didn't change anything on the original plan and there were no major problems that they ran into with piping. I would expect professionals to know approximately how much a job is going to cost before the work, and honor that. I could understand if the end price exceeded the original estimate somewhat, but by $1500 is ridiculous. These people do not return phone calls once they have your money and only supply a one year warranty on their work and materials. Nothing about their service was satisfactory. I feel as though I was taken advantage of as a first time renovator.

I have used PS Plumbing about 6 times in the past decade or so. This year I had a large shower redone and there were 2 problems. First there was a drip in the hot intake line that required 2 callbacks. Second, the initial plumber/installer was at my home for 2 short work days. When the invoice arrived I was surprised to see that the number of labor hours charged had been increased by more than 50%. I paid that invoice and when I needed to call them back for the leak and to get additional work done I told the owner Pete my concerns. Pete explained that about $1000 of labor for such work is usual and customary. I accepted his explanation and his promise to look into the matter, but I did not hear back from him again.
I made the mistake of giving the company a second chance. As my project progressed I called PS Plumbing back to move 2 vanity lines 3.5" within their existing stud space. The young licensed plumber sent to my house gave my wife a verbal estimate for $145. The invoice came to me at $315. There were no unforseen problems that required additional labor. Subsequent to that work I spoke with the office and emailed PS Plumbing my complaint. The business office has not reached out to me to explain or remedy the situation. I paid the second trumped up invoice in full because I failed to get the estimate in writing. I obtained a written estimate to finish the trim portion of the project and PS Plumbing's price was substantially higher than their competitors.
If you want to hire PS Plumbing I suggest you ask for their more experienced licensed plumbers to do the work and demand a written estimate. It appears as though multiple things in the organization, from top to bottom, have changed for the worse in 2012.

I have used them three or four times. They are great. The pricing is reasonable, but it might be a little higher than some plumbers. They make up for it with honesty and efficiency.
