In November, my laptop, in my padded briefcase, fell. No immediately discernible damage. In a few weeks, it seemed that something with a hinge was wrong. And the keyboard wasn't working quite right. I took it to PC Lauderdale. December 18th. THREE WEEKS LATER.... I had the laptop back. It was mangled. First, the case is metal. The bottom wraps around and behind/under the screen. According to Andy, b/c the case is a "precision fit" he had to bend it back to fit after taking it off. He used a pair of pliers and not only scratched the case, but bent it so badly it was no where near aligned anymore. And a screw was sticking out. The message he gave? That's the best it's going to get. Meanwhile.. it wasn't like that when I brought it in. Oh..
and they "new" keyboard they installed... CAP and NUM lock.. DIED.
It get's better!! The hinge wasn't actually repaired. I was told it would cost $28 to replace. I said OK! Andy decided he would use GORILLA GLUE. Guess what!?  It didn't work. It didn't work from the second I had the machine back and I complained! I couldn't close the machine bc the hinge wasn't actually fixed or glued. And now.. my touch screen is cracked b/c of the hinge.
And it was fine when I first brought it in back in December. NOW.. i am told it's MY cost.
Don't worry.. I have all the emails to back this up.. texts with Eric too. My wife was witness to some of this junk as well.
Now, on February 15th, almost 2 months after I first brought the machine in, it's STILL not fixed and back at their shop only b/c I don't want to start over elsewhere and I am certainly not letting them off easily.
This has been one of the worst experiences EVER.
Don't call Andy to ask questions. 9x out of 10, he won't pick up his phone. IF he does, he's rude, snappish. And It's clear why the repairs are slow. Every time I have been there, outside on a cigarette break.
Their work shop is now a joke. It's an office space, actually.. a DESK in an office space.. with a few small shelves of some parts and a few laptops strewn around.
It is my fault. I should have never trusted them to service my machine.
And the CREAM on top??! LENOVO told me had I called them in December, they may have fixed it for FREE!!!!!!! Andy and Eric are "Certified" Lenovo techs. Why didn't they know this??
Andy didn't know half the things about my touch screen. It's an absolute joke.
I should add that I have known them since 2005, I have purchased machines from them. This is the first time I have ever experienced the SERVICE side.
I'm friends with them, they were at my second wedding, I openly tell them that I love them. I have helped them move, I have helped them in troubled times.
After this experience, if I never see them again, it's too soon. I am THAT offended, disappointed, upset and you name it. HORRIBLE. These are people I trusted, and that trust is breached. I was one of their biggest proponents, but I suppose that was only on sales.
DO NOT BRING YOUR LAPTOP IN FOR SERVICE. IT WILL BE MANGLED.
Sadly, this is likely going to end up in court. I'm furious.
