- - Matt the sales rep who came to the house was quite good, responsive, and answered my phone calls and questions afterwards
- - The installers came right on time. Unfortunately the other workers in the house were not done and they were still there. This includes some tile work that needed to be re-done. The tile guys VERY CLEARLY delineated the area with tape and a wooden board of an area not to walk and even wrote "wet tile do not walk", and one of the installers just put his leg over the tape and wooden board and then put his weight on the wet tile. When I said something, I very quickly got attitude, saying he didnt see it. Then he tried again to step on the metal piece that was holding the tile in place. We then didnt see him again, and only his partner
- - we actually had a false alarm that first night, to no fault of the security company, HOWEVER they were unable to get a hold of me or my husband when the alarms were going off because they had written ALL 3 phone numbers down incorrectly, so the police had to be called, AND I was fined $50 by the city.
- = the installers left their dirty sweaty shirt on the floor in my garage= that probably wouldnt be worth mentioning alone, however the others were, and it was gross.
On the first visit, I explained the problem to the sales person. He offered to send over a technician at no charge to analyze the problem (which I gladly agreed). About an hour later the technician arrived and went through my entire system, checking all the devices and wiring. He traced the problem to faulty wiring in my attic. I offered to switch my service to their company if he could repair the problem immediately. We both agreed and it took about 2 hours to repair the faulty wiring. He set up my service and did not even charge me for the repairs. I was suprised to find out that they do not charge for repairs and maintenance for all the customers they monitor.
About 3 months has passed since I switched to National Alarm. I am happy to say that I have not had a single false alarm since I switched to them.
The entire staff at National Alarm have all been very professional and a pleasure to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.
I explained my situation, and Rory spent plenty of time explaining what he thought I might want in the way of an alarm system, and then we made an appointment for him to come by the following day.
He even called me to explain a 5 minute delay of our appointment, due to a traffic accident.
When Rory came by, he explained what would be the best alarm system for my needs (wireless), and he explained all the charges, and I signed the agreement for the installation.
The installers, Mario and Ricky, came this morning (during the scheduled time).
They worked clean, and were very knowledgeable, PROFESSIONAL, and courteous.
After they finished the installation (they work very well together) in the time frame as scheduled, they explained to me how the alarm works (in easy to understand words!!!).
I am very pleased with this company.
I feel very secure in the knowledge that I have "state-of-the-art" protection for my home.
I will recommend them to my friends.

By far, National Alarm Systems stood out as the most professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy company. The sales person was very experienced and took the time to explain the different types of equipment available and gave me several options. He did not try to convince me to go with a pre-set system that was being pushed on me by the other companies. He wanted me to have a system that I was comfortable with. We customized a system that was right for me and my family members. The pricing of the system was also very reasonable based on the quantity of the equipment that I wanted and the size of my house.
The installation of the system was flawless. The technicians arrived on time and were very courteous and professional. They knew exactly what the job entailed and explained to me how the installation was to precede. They cleaned up after the job was completed. They showed my entire family how to use the system and tested everything right in front of us. A few days later, the city inspector came by and approved the installation.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants a reliable and professional company, that cares about the needs of their customers and treats you like a special person.
"We apologize for the misunderstanding with the term of contract. The term of contract allows us to take-over existing alarm systems at prices that are far less that our cost. We only look for a reasonable term to help us recover our excess costs over a period of time. The total price of $642.80 included the new equipment needed to convert the system, replace defective equipment, relocate existing equipment, the first 12 months of monitoring service and sales tax. As stated in the comments, our monitoring rates include full maintenance with all parts and labor. On existing systems that require additional maintenance, such as trouble shooting an existing problem, additional visits are sometimes necessary. We repair these problems at no cost to the customer. Finally, our central station response time to alarm signals averages 10-15 seconds. Once we dispatch the police, the response time from the local police department is unfortunately out of our control. Our goal is to provide 100% customer satisfaction in the most professional manner. We will always do whatever is necessary to provide the best possible service and will go out of our way to make sure it is accomplished for each and every customer."
