Mintz Heating and Cooling

The first service call by Mintz was to correct another AC company's substandard work. The former AC company told me I needed to replace what was then a 6 year old unit. Kevin from Mintz came to the rescue. He did a full service and corrected the issues of the former company. My unit is now 11 years old and runs like new! I highly recommend Mintz

System never worked properly,had him send his people to repair it a few times,one of his employees did something wrong causing a water leak,he never returned our calls after that incident. We eventually had to call a different ac company and their repair solved all the problems. Don’t bother with Mintz ac Company,prices are good,but remember.....you get what you pay for! In the end it cost us a lot!

Mr Mintz was responsive to my calls, questions, and suggestions. The estimate was significantly better than others that were consulted. The workers were friendly and knowledgeable, applying themselves. They worked around an approaching hurricane to complete the installation. Their motto of making the customer happy was always demonstrated by their actions and results. They cleaned up at the end of every shift. The estimate equalled the invoice paid. What more could you ask? This is a local company, authorized for Mitsubishi split systems. These "country boys" were a pleasure to work with.

• THIS MINTZ COMPANY SOLD ME A  RHEEM AIR CONDITIONER IN MAY/2015 FOR $4000.00 IN WHICH I AM STILL MAKING PAYMENTS.  THIS MAY/2016, THE A/C STARTED FLOODING MY GARAGE SO MINTZ SENT OUT THE TECH WHO FLUSHED OUT THE SYSTEM. OK, FINE.

THIS FRIDAY, 08/19/2016, THE A/C STARTED FLOODING THE GARAGE AGAIN. IT WAS JUST SERVICED 3 MONTHS PRIOR. I CALLED THE OWNER, THURMOND MINTZ, GOT AN ANSWERING MACHINE. I CONTINUED TO CALL HIM AND CONTINUED TO GET AN ANSWERING MACHINE.   AT THIS POINT, THIS YEAR OLD A/C STARTED MAKING VERY LOUD SOUNDS OUTSIDE, AND STARTED BLOWING OUT HOT AIR IN THE HOME. I CONTINUED TO CALL THURMOND MINTZ.  STILL, AN ANSWERING MACHINE. I TRIED EMAILING AND CONTINUED TO CALL.  THE GARAGE WAS FLOODED AND THE HOME NO LONGER HAD AIR  ANYONE, WOULD BE UPSET AT THIS POINT.   3 DAYS WENT BY, I HAD TO STAY IN A HOTEL AND GET MY ANIMALS OUT OF THE HOME.  ON THE 4TH DAY, HE EMAILED ME AND SAID SINCE I CALLED HIM 10 TIMES, HE WOULD NO LONGER SERVICE MY A/C AND GO AND FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO FIX IT.
SO, ANYONE WANT TO USE THIS COMPANY YOU BETTER THINK TWICE. TO GO OUT OF TOWN (FOR ANY REASON), AND NOT HAVE SOMEONE IN CARE OF YOUR COMPANY LACKS PROFESSIONALISM, AND AHS NO REGARD WHATSOEVER FOR ANY OF HIS CUSTOMERS.   I AM ALSO GOING TO COMPLAIN TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND MAKE COMMENTS ON YELP.   BUYER BEWARE-DO NOT USE "MINTZ HEATING AND COOLING" COMPANY.....OR YOU WILL GET SCREWED ON YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE.  I NOW HAVE TO FIN SOMEONE ELSE TO REPAIR A 1 YEAR OLD A/C SYSTE, AND IF IT IS A MAJOR PROBLE, THIS COMPANY WILL BE IN FOR A LAW SUIT!!!  GUARANTEED.

Mintz was absolutely wonderful. Thurmond Mintz was exceptionally polite and got me appropriately scheduled. He kept in contact about arrival time and the dispatched technician, Steve, was terrific. He was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain or show me what he was doing and why. He kept the work area very clean and promptly stopped the leaking by vacuuming and blowing out the drain lines. He also cleaned the evaporation coils by scraping off all debris. And he also added the chlorine tabs. He was not pushy or aggressively trying to sell me everything under the sun. Based upon MY questions, we spoke honestly about the age of the unit and spoke about the what a new system may cost, other suggestions and what I would need to do if I requested a quote in the future. He told me to do my homework and when I was ready, I should send something to Mr. Mintz in terms of what I was looking for. I believe this is a very honest operation and I will definitely consider them for a planned replacement of our entire system.

It was nice that the owner showed up with the workers and discussed what was to be done, before work started.  I recommend them to others.

The whole experience was wonderful. Mr. Mintz and his staff Steve and Erick came by and fixed my ac that was acting very unusual. To give every one a quick recap I moved into a new home 3 weeks ago. I noticed that the ac would stop blowing cold air for hours at a time. I didn't want to go with a big commercial company do to bad experiences. Once they came they started the diagnosing process and keeping me informed on what they saw. The one thing I appreciated the most was showing me the problems and explaining to me everything. No need to look any further this company is the one!!!

Thurman and his associates did everything in an utmost professional manner. He was very prompt in answering my initial call. He arrived promptly on time for the installation.  He and his associates covered the inside of my condo to protect everything while the work was being done. After the installation was completed the floor was vacuumed and furniture replaced to its original position. I feel it would be hard to find anyone else to do a great job like they did.I will surely recommend his company to anyone I know needing a/c work.

Thurman was very professional, generous with his time, and ethical -- he gave of his time and was honest about the problems with the unit and what it would take to fix the problems. He showed impeccable expertise and integrity. He gave his suggestions in writing and offered to make phone calls to the manufacturer to help problem solve. I would hire him over anyone else, for any job I have that needs to be done with the air conditioner or any other areas of expertise he has. It is rare these days to find someone (like Thurman) who is honest, reliable, fair and operates from integrity over greed. I highly recommend Mintz Heating and Cooling!

Thurman is excellent.  I've used his services several times and will again when needed.
Thurman knows what he is doing, he shows up on time,  and charges a very fair price.  He almost always answers the phone himself, but  if not, promptly returns the call.  Although his ?expertise? (license) is a/c- heating, in addition to repairing my a/c/, he has done other electrical work,  roof repair, and various ?handy-man? tasks that I could not have done myself, i.e., properly  hang closet shelving and hang a flat screen t.v. on the wall.
