John arrived 1 hour after he called. His estimate to repair the microwave was not cost effective for the age of the microwave vs. the cost of a new one. Ordered a new one from GE and paid just the the $85 service call fee.

I called JA Appliances because my AC unit wasn't cooling properly. John was extremely knowledgeable and had patience to explain the issue. Rather than trying to get me to purchase a new unit, he educated me on what we can do to save money; until my family and I are forced to replace the unit. Very professional, effective communication, funny service guy (good energy) just an overall good guy. As you might imagine, when your dryer goes out and you have two young children, you have about a 3-day window to rectify the situation. After not getting responses from other folks that had good reviews, or being told by a company that claimed to "service all of Broward" with the exception of Hollywood, I got in touch with John at JA Appliances. John showed up later that day, when he said he would, gave me a straightforward assessment of the issue and the timelines involved depending on the part availability (which I was lucky to have available) and came back the next day to do the repair. Living in South Florida, I know it's a crap-shoot every time I hire a repair person, so it's good to know that I can call JA Appliances back for any number of issues that may arise with my other appliances or my A/C.
