He does not do a good job.  He spends almost no time at all and pretty much says everything is fine. We later come to find out there are various issues that he should have and did not comment on.  I have come to find that two other people used him with the same results.  Sorry, but he is not the person you want to hire if you want an accurate and honest report.

We hired this home inspector as home home buyers to detect any possible problems the house may have had before signing the contract on the house. The inspector noted that the house was in excellent shape and there should be no problems. After the contract was signed and as the closing date drew closer the mortgage company ordered a separate 4 point inspection. The 4 point inspection uncovered improper wiring, unapproved Federal Pacific service panels, ungrounded outlets, and nonfunctional pool lighting system. As a result, we were left to pay for all the very expensive repairs on our own because we were already under contract. We were required to replace all the Federal Pacific panels and ground all the outlets a cost to us of over $4000. If the inspector had done his job properly those fees would have been negotiated with the seller prior to signing of the contract or even prior to closing. From our understanding it is common knowledge in the real estate industry that Federal Pacific panels are no longer approved panels to be installed in houses. When we and our real estate agent contacted him separate times about the problems he did not uncover he denied any responsibility and was very indifferent. He refused to refund his fee or did not offer any help on the situation.
