I rented a home from him from 2004 to 2006. He sold me a home in 2007 and I don't think he had my best interest. After he sold me my home and I moved out of his rental he kept my security deposit and made the commission as well and I found that to be a little slimy. I do think he is good at his job however.

"I am sorry that Member feels that way, but I would only keep a security deposit if an apartment was left in poor condition at move out and repairs met or exceeded the amount of money that was held in security. I also have followed state law of notifying a tenant about a claim on their security deposit so that they have a chance to correct any issues, and if they are not corrected, the funds to repair any damages are taken from the security deposit. ."

The house was on the market a day or two and 2 showing today and sold it today. The thing I like about him was that he agreed with my asking price. Some other realtors wanted me to list it for $40,000 less than what I was asking, but Howard thought it was appropriate. And we ended up selling it very closely to our asking price. He did an amazing job for us, did anything that we needed. I really can't stress how amazing our experience with him was.

Howard B Elfman is the owner of the company. Overall, my experience has been great. He's thorough, knowledgeable and he has a lot of connections within the community. He's very friendly and approachable. I had to pay his commission. His responsiveness is okay. He's not lousy, but he took sometime to call me back. He was late most of the times. He's fairly professional. I would use him again in the future if need be.
