Our issue with Goro Construction and Telmo is that the quality of the work was horrible. And to top it off, he isn't willing to stand behind his work. Here are a few examples: 1. He removed the quest bathroom and did an awful job stitching the seams at the ceiling and walls. As a result, we now have a floor to ceiling crack tracing where the old bathroom was. We've contacted him several times and he refuses to come look at the damages because he blames another crew for doing the damages. The funny thing is that the other crew he is referring to worked on the roof, not inside the house. 2. Since he replaced our roof, we've had 4 leaks... one massive leak. He has responded to these, however, again not taking responsibility for the bad work. We are very concerned with our brand new roof. 3. His crew did a horrindous job painting our home. We spent almost an entire week reviewing their work and asking them to redo areas they messed up.. or worse, completely didnt paint. To make matters worse, we asked for them to repaint all of our doors. The repainted the doors with little sanding and applied a latex based paint on top of an oil based paint. This is a huge no no. Needless to say, all of our doors and frames are peeling. After several heated conversations, he did agree to repair the work, but did so with very poor workmanship. I rarely post reviews, but i feel like consumers should be aware of Goro Construction. We selected to work with Telmo and Goro Construction because he talked about trust and how he invests in keeping his clients happy. This is not the case!

The reason we picked Goro construction was the responsiveness of the owner, Telmo. He is a friendly guy who was eager to take up the job and promised a quick turn around. The quote was significantly less than the other quotes we got. Unfortunately sometimes you get what you pay for. The quality of the work was HORRIBLE. the major highlights - Roofing - For roofing jobs AVOID under all circumstances. The roof got a leak within 2-3 months. The material used on the roof was not the one listed in the drawing. The slope on the flat roof was done in the wrong direction. Though all these issues got corrected....i think a roofer should not have made this big mistakes. And had we not pointed them out....he wouldnt have fixed it. Even so dont know how many more surprises await us. For roofing jobs...AVOID....even if you are saving money. - Demo work - They punched a hole in the ceiling while demoing the walls !!! - The tiles - approximately 30% of the tiles have hollow spots - The walls - other than a small 5 ft section of the wall....none of the walls are straight. more than 1" incline on some !! - Subcontractors - Electrical - cheap and poorly done. Some wires not covered up. Wiring done improperly....i had to get it redone - Plumbing (gas) - wrong size pipes used.....had to get it redone - Impact windows - the stucco outside is not straight. The drian holes were covered on most. The stucco work was not blended with the wall finish...so it stands out. Some of the windows not installed evenly. Had to get most of it redone/corrected. - Timing - The whole process took over 6 months extra Basically you get the idea. If you are reading this...please be warned. The work quality was so bad that it ended up costing me more just to get it all fixed after the work was complete. There were plenty of shortcuts and excuses.
Description of Work: This was a major remodeling job. Including but not limited to some significant demolition of wall, new walls put up. new tile flooring, impact windows etc. The project also involved a completely new roof ($35000)
