Description of Work: In discussion, he said he would take a look at the car which was making a knocking noise. He took the engine apart without authorization then refused to put it back together even with the ins.$$ unless we paid for those additional items in order to insure a warranty. Drove it home and the next day it rained--no window wipers. They had not connected them. Check engine light came on the end of Feb. Took it to another auto shop and they said we needed to take it back to the person who rebuilt the engine as they should fix it under warranty. We took it to Expertech and authorized them to do a diagnostic ($105). Called the insurance co. and after not hearing from Expertech or having them return any of our calls, we picked up the car. The ins. representative said he had called them twice and they never returned his calls. The owner said he got $150/hr. and couldn't call ins. as it would cost him $75 (1/2 to explain the problem) and he just didn't give things away. Asked for a copy of the diagnostic and he gave us a picture of the part he said needed to be repaired and it wasn't his fault. Took it to Marty's Auto Works in Longwood, Fl. He fixed it and gave us a detailed work up saying Expertech had not secured the part thus it came loose with driving. He told us to take it to Expertech and they should repay us the money we spent getting it fixed. Expertech has never responded to our e-mail re: repayment. Thus, we paid the additional $800 when they rebuilt the engine to insure a warranty and got two different diagnostics who both said the recent part should be covered by warranty and nothing from Expertech. We contacted this business because of Angie's list and would NEVER recommend them either for the quality of their work or customer service. BUYER BEWARE!

Description of Work: I had a rebuilt engine installed in my 2004 Honda Accord. The work was done professionally and at a reasonable charge. They keep my car running well.
