Terrific job by Downtown. Not only was the final product really well-done, getting to that point was a smooth journey. No surprises (except a few pleasant ones), fair pricing. Downtown can be trusted. Highly recommended.

From the very beginning to the very end, Downtown Pools consistently surprised me with their professionalism, prices, punctuality and responsiveness. Steve was very patient and completed several iterations of kitchen plans prior to us signing the contract. Once signed, the cabinets and appliances were ordered, delivered, and installation began IMMEDIATELY. There were no scheduling conflicts, weird excuses or drama anywhere during the process. Very surprised to see that not only did Steve act as salesman, but he also BUILT the kitchen. He is very detail oriented and I felt as though he was building our kitchen as if it were his own. The project was completed very quickly with the help of the entire gang at Downtown Pools. Cary kept me posted regarding the schedule and Ed did an excellent job working with Steve to ensure everything was installed properly. Moving forward, I feel like I now have a company I can trust when I need pool, spa, or outdoor kitchen maintenance or repair. Go see these guys- they sell high quality products that actually last and they don't jack up the price in the middle of the project. Plus they have an awesome slushy machine in the store.

Excellent. Protect complete on time, they were clean. They went the extra step to make sure the patio was clean. They exceed our expections, they make great suggestions.

Steve came out and gave me a quote and began work on date stated. All work was completed on time and as promised. Cary and Joe were always receptive to my calls and questions. They are an excellent company to work with and I highly recommend.

Cleaning was punctual and good.  Heater installation good. Salt water installation - cheap unit never worked. After pool was diamond brighted refused to clean because they didn't do it and owner/manager was a****** on the phone even after I'd spent over $2000 with them. Have a much better service now.

These guys were great. I had purchased the SWCG and pool and spa lights as I was able to find them much cheaper on the internet. They had reasonable prices for doing the installation of equipment I provided and asked all the right questions on the phone when scheduling, which gave me confidence that the work would be performed properly. They emailed me the quote and stood by it with no major surprises. I am very pleased with the service they provided. They were great in answering my questions pre-sale, they called to confirm appointments, and the tech showed up when he was supposed to. I wasn't planning on buying a new pump, but once I saw that it wasn't that much more than replacing the motor, I did that. Very highly recommended. Cary in the store was my sales person and Ed was the tech.

Downtown is EXCELLENT to work with -- friendly, accommodating, and professional.  They really have looked after me in getting the best deals available for my various pool needs.  Installation of a pool heater was completed on-time, on-budget, and with no problems.  They have since replaced my pump and filtering system which were ancient.  I highly recommend Downtown Pools.  You couldn't find a better group to work with.

Everything having to do with this company and the service personnel was fantastic. I'm not overstating it either.

We asked for a quote for a new pool heater and I Aqua Link and they sent a very knowledgeable person (Steve) out to provide it. He even noticed that the pool pump we had had for only 22 months was not threaded properly and was leaking. Oddly enough, the pump blew the next week.

They would have installed the new pool heater the next day but we were waiting on an electrical upgrade. When we needed it installed they came out right away. When I didn't care for where the pvc pipes were laid they rerouted them. They then explained how to use the I Aqua Link system to me at least twice.

I can't say enough about how much I liked their professionalism and responsiveness.

The job went well, but it took a little longer to build than I had anticipated. The final result is good and meets my expectations. We enjoy using this outdoor addition to our home.

Been wanting an outdoor cooking area for a long time and was looking for some design assistance for a challenging space.  Downtown Pools and BBQ was spot on in laying out the equipment.  The company is relentless to complete the project under my time schedule without sacrificing the the quality of the work.  Very open to accommodating changes to upgrade the finished project like adding back splashes and lighting.  It has been a top notch experience all the way through.

These guys are great!  I've been getting my water tested there for several months and gotten to know them well.  When my pool heater decided to give up the ghost just two days before I had a house full of out of town company scheduled to arrive, I asked Joe how soon they could install a new pool heater (mine was several years old).  Joe said he would do some research on the best heater for my setup and would have someone get back to me.  Steve called later that day, recommended a new pump and said they would try to get it installed within a day or two.  They had the new pump delivered the next afternoon and Thursday morning Ed came as scheduled, installed the new heater and had things up and running within a couple of hours.  It's remarkable in this day and age to find such competent and responsive professionals!  They come when they say they will (even on very short notice) and they do good work.

It was okay. They come once a week, they are very professional and follow through in what they say they are going to do.

The first service of my pool was before I went out of town.  The "O" ring was not properly set on the filter after the filter was cleaned and the pool leaked a significant amount of water.  Additionally, I was left a note that the filter should run for 24 hours and the filter was set to run continuously.  I was supposed to be out of town at this point so if I had not been there, the filter would have run for a week until Downtown Pools returned.  I called the company and explained that this was unsatisfactory because I would not be home for the rest of the service time and I would not have received the note.  I assume the rest of the service weeks were OK, however, every week I would get a call from someone new explaining that I needed to put water in the pool or something that needed my attention.  Every week I would have to explain to a different person that I was out of town for the month which is why I hired the service and I would be unable to do whatever it was they told me was necessary.  I ended up telling at least 5 people at the company that I was out of town for a month, which made me very uncomfortable.  When I came home, the pool was clean which was the ultimate goal, but the "O" ring was still not set properly and the filter was leaking.  Additionally, I received a call during the month that I had not paid the bill.  Once again, I had to explain that they MAILED me a bill and I was not home, which is why I hired them, and I would pay it when I got home. 

I got quotes from 3 companies. All came within 10=15% of the other. Forget about those coupons in the mail for the $2,000 special--it doesn't exist. Company started job within two days and completed in two days. The owner is a taskmaster and knows his field well. He tells is as it is. My last job was done by a Paver Company and not the best pool job.  He also takes pride in having the job done right and customer satisfaction, which is why the company was hired. We are very satisfied with the completed project. More money than I would have liked, but  c'est la vie.I would highly recommend this contractor.

After going through many contractors that had ideas for my yard but did not seem to have the Love for there work that Steve showed me we used Downtown Pools. 
  He went around the yard looking at the house ,the trees, and even got on his knees to see "The level of the ground". After all that he talked to me for a long time about what I was looking for and just made me feel like he cared about my job. It took a week or so to get an estimate and after comparing all the quotes in fine detail Downtown pools was a bit more in cost.  But, they had more details and exact numbers where the others did a lot of "ESTIMATING" that I took as a price increase someplace.  So we went to Downtown Pools showroom and picked colors and shapes and we were off to a slow start..
  I must say I was thinking that after a weeks for the estimate I would be waiting around for the work to be done.  Then I get a call in a few days and they wanted to start the next day, GREAT!    I must say they were there every day for hours even Saturday until the job was completed,  Steve came by and explained so much of what was going on I feel like an expert on my yard like never before.  Well the job got done under the deadline by 5 days with a few rain out days in the middle. 
Details is said so.   After Steve looking at the yard it was decided by him that my square deck should be all rounded off to match the yard and the round pool. It was also said that we could add some deck to one side so we could use it for a few tables if I was going to have people over, Great Idea!  So we did all that and then some more that gave us a dream yard! 
  Everything is great and I am happy for Angie's List for finding me Downtown Pools for a great job.   
  Let me also say that after all this the price I was given "Did not go up" just like Steve said it would never do.

I have been going to Downtown Pools for supplies and weekly water testing for about 3 years now. One of my co-workers told me about them after I purchased my home. The staff has always been extemely helpful - even when I ve had to call for minor questions. This is a plus since I know very little about maintaining a pool. Unfortunately I have had to have a few serivce calls that involved someone having to come to my home to trouble shoot and make some repairs to my pool system. I am always nervous about this because you just never know what the problem may be or how much it may cost in materials and labor. Their staff is extremely experienced and very quick at problem solving!! The last problem I had (June '13) required quite a bit of trouble shooting and the owner himself went to my house on several occasions to figure out the problem. When I went into the store the next day to settle my bill, he refused to charge me! How often does that happen? NEVER! It was very nice of him and I so appreciated it... especially since I had recently had a major repair done. If you want good honest advise and/or work done on your pool/spa system, I highly recommend Downtown Pools!

The Summit heater is nice and quiet. I like hearing birds, not noisy pool equipment cycling on and off. We like to keep the pool around 90 degrees and this was the best choice for our smaller size pool. We have Fishtail palms hanging over our pool, and they drop annoying beads or nuts into the pool daily. After trying numerous pool cleaners, all of which have broken due to these little nuts clogging or snapping off the plastic blades and parts, Steve showed us the Polaris 280 which has simple working parts and no plastic fan blades to replace over and over. It has a large suck hole on the bottom, and these nuts get sucked up into the mesh bag, which my weekly pool service empties when they test the chemicals. I found Steve to be thorough in explaining the heater and vacuum cleaner, and his associate Ed, who is most competent and professional, put it all together and made it work. Steve gave me his cell number if I have any problems. The new cleaner twisted itself in a knot, I snapped a photo, sent to Steve, and he had a Polaris rep come right out and rebalance the weight and I have had no problem since. I recommend Downtown Pools for their prompt and excellent service, and their knowledge and explanation of what you should buy according to your pool size and usage. 

My pool had been built by a contractor for a remodel.  The contractor used the cheapest materials he could find.  There were leaks.  i called steve and he came out and he came and checked the entire pool and made some suggestions to me.  he did say it could be expensive.  i agreed to have the best and he gave me the best and much much more.  he gives you his cell number, so if you have any problems he will come and fix the problem.  he is very honest and he loves pools.  Very technical person with his work.
