DESMEN SMITH

This same gentleman replaced the same wire a year ago and charged $95 for a simple electrical repair. A year later, his repair failed and he "fixed" it again. The terminal had broken off but he did not repair that. Instead, he did not have the correct type/color of wire needed and used a substitute. Within a half hour, the wire he put in shorted out to another wire that was touching it, burning up the wiring inside the sealed compressor. He just happened to have a slightly used compressor that he offered to install for $400. Or, he offered a new unit for $4,000. He did not offer a credit or refund for the defective repair he had just done. After getting competitive prices for the same unit from several legitimate companies, I found their prices averaging $3500. And, that included permits, insurance, etc. which I don't believe Smith had. I'm not sure because I had nothing in writing.
