Contacted Dead Bug Edwards regarding a termite condition at my home. At the time I had a contract with another company and was very interested in getting a second opinion. Dead Bugs rep showed up for the appointment on time and spent over a half hour discussing my concerns without making me feel at all rushed. His explanations of the issues were thorough and extremely helpful. He did not charge me for the assistance and even suggested I stay with the company I had a contract with. I don't think I could have expected any better service. Frankly, I think their commitment to customer service far exceeds the company I am currently with. I would highly recommend them, and if I didn't have a contract, I would definitely switch companies.

Let me start by saying that we were very upset to find out that we had termites. I did some research to find a reputable company to do the job and decided that Dead Bug Edwards would be best for us based on many user reviews. As it turns out, part of the services provided by our condo association, pest control is included in our HOA fees. Our Association paid the full cost of fumigation.
I?m a techie; I had many questions to ask. The representative of DBE (Jamey) explained the process in detail and was able to make us comfortable. He left us a package with information explaining what would be done by DBE, what we needed to do to prepare for the job and he left us special bags and ties. We used the bags to ?double bag? all food, dry goods and medicines that could be ingested. That included everything in the refrigerator and freezer as well as all spices and salt & pepper, coffee, sugar, sweetener packets etc. It was quite a task, but necessary to prevent contamination by the fumigant gas. We were VERY concerned about the security of our home. I was assured that all of the people involved in the project are employees of DBE and not part time workers or day laborers. We have a security alarm system and digital deadbolts. We gave DBE temporary codes to use so that we could have at least some degree of security. We also contacted our local police department and requested extra patrols to keep an eye on our property. They said they would be happy to oblige.
The process takes about 2+ days. On the first day, a tent is erected to completely envelope the house. It is sealed at the ground with tubes filled with sand and tubes of water. All of the windows remained open while the tent is in place. Warning signs are placed on every side of the tent. We had to bypass all of our alarm sensors with the exception of entry doors in order to be able
to arm the system. Two high power fans were brought into the house to circulate the fumigant. Once the technician (Tracey) was ready to leave the house she secured our doors and set our alarm panel. She called us to let us know that she and the workers were leaving. The tent has to be in place for at least 24 hours. On day two, the crew returned to the house and removed the tent and aired out the house. On the morning of day three the technician (Tracey) tested all areas of the house, garage and inside the refrigerator and freezer with a device used to test for any residual fumigant. When the house passed inspection Tracey called us to say we could return home. We returned mid-day on day three. The house was secured and all of the windows had been closed and the shades drawn. The crew had removed all traces of them having been there. DBE is excellent at communication with their customers. I would definitely and highly recommend them.

Dead Bug Edwards is a fabulous company. They arrived right on time, treated our home with tremendous respect and cleaned up beautifully. Jeff, owner, was the man in charge! In 2014, we were fumigated by another company in October 2014. This was a second try for them. After the treatment, we expected it would work and kill these little buggers, and decided to replace our roof. Granted the roof was old but over 50 tiles were broken and rusting clamps were left on the roof. The roof was replaced in December 2014. In May, the termites were crawling up our windows (inside). Hoffer Pest Control worked with us and brought in Dead Bug Edwards. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Only two tiles were broken. I watched them walk on the roof - they were so careful. This time when we returned to our home our eyes did not burn...great professional company in every way.

Went surprisingly easy. People who do the work are employees, not subcontractors. Hope I never have to do again, but if so would definitely use them again.
