I had an excellent experience. They were extremely responsive and communicated well. They were on-time, efficient and professional. Further, the charger that the manufacturer sent me was cracked, so they installed it and when I received the replacement, they came back to switch it out with the new one for no additional charge. I would highly recommend.

They put the boxes in crooked and gashed a giant framed mirror and they never address this issue. I did not authorize them to charge my credit card as I was wanting to speak with someone about the damages that were done. Unknown to me, they charged my card 4 days later. My experience was the absolute worst with workers who took their masks off as they were in my home. This whole experience was totally unacceptable. AWFUL I was totally taken advantage of!

These guys are classic Florida grifters. I paid them hourly and they stalled and stalled and talked and talked and talked some more, presumably to keep the clock running and get more money for the job. I would avoid them at all costs. They are dishonest and really not good people. I've worked with A LOT of contractors over the years in several states, and these guys are truly classic Florida con men. Only in Florida...
Response from CW Fischer Electric Inc
"I'm surprised to hear your dissatisfaction with our company? We never received any calls from you complaining of the service we provided, or the time that it took to complete all the items you wanted done? In fact, you paid the bill immediately of which we were very appreciative. Had we heard from you while the work was being completed, we would have been happy to address your concerns. Being in business in the South Florida for 53 years, I can assure you we may be a "Classic Florida Electrical Contracting Success Story", but we are not "grifters" as you say. We'd welcome hearing from you to discuss your concerns."

I can't say enough good things about this company. I have been using Fischer Electric since 2005 and have never had any issues with them.  They have been extremely professional, always prompt and willing to work with unexpected issues without any hassle. I've dealt with Allison many times and she's always been a pleasure to work with and always helpful.  The electricians who have been sent out have been great to work with as well.  Highly recommended.

They rewired my house so I could get central air!! My house hadn't had an upgrade since 1959, so it was a full rewire. They started in the morning after FPL turned off the power and were done late afternoon. I also had them put in extra plugs for future garage door openers, dryers, etc.

They were professional, showed up on time, kept me updated of progress, cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave a mess anywhere. Allision in the office was great, coordinated everything. Passed inspection without issues a few days later.
I would use them again.

Many things have gone well with this electrical project.  There has been work completed that does not meet NEC standards (minimum standard) and they refuse to fix the latest issues that I believe do not meet the requirements of the NEC standards and certainly are not good workmanship.  I wish I could figure out how to attach photographs of the issues/work to this report as they clearly show what is being described and referenced.  Initially I was crawling through the attic and due to the haphazard wire routing I bumped a wire that caused an unsecured metal junction box they used to move and cause a spark which caused the circuit breaker for that circuit to trip.  I lost lights in a section of the house on that weekend, and had to fix the problem myself to get the lights/power back on.  The metal junction box had not been secured in place, had an unused knockout removed from the box, and this metal box was not properly grounded.  Their wire entering through a two screw Romex connector and had the jacket damaged during the installation of the connector which caused the metal box to be "live" (in contact with the line conductor).  When I caused the box to move the twisted together ground wires located inside the box hit the metal lid of the box, arched, and caused and overcurrent situation to trip the supply circuit breaker.  The problem was eventually fixed by the contractor, but I should not have to trouble shoot this on my time and if this had been left as installed it presented a shock hazard.  There have been other issues where the plans submitted to Fischer Electric during the estimating process and before work began were not being followed.  After agreeing that drywall could be installed, pieces of drywall had to be removed to reroute circuits to the correct electrical panels.  I agreed to absorb the cost of redoing the drywall in that area.  Currently we have an issue where a sharp cut end of the flexible metal conduit used to connect power to the air handler in my opinion has not been properly terminated according to NEC article 300.15 and article 348.  The service manager has refused in an e-mail to correct the issue.  The sharp unsecured cut end of the metal conduit is right against the jacket of the wiring supplying the air handler and if the insulating jacket gets chafed it could expose the copper conductors which would be a shock/fire hazard.  This cut metal edge of the flexible metal conduit is very sharp and you would not pass your finger over it.  NEC 2008 300.15 states "Where the wiring method is conduit, tubing, Type AC cable, Type MC cable, Type MI cable, nonmetallic-sheathed cable, or other cables, a box or conduit body shall be installed at each conductor splice point, outlet point, switch point, junction point, termination point, or pull point, unless otherwise permitted in 300.15 (A) through (M)."  A box for the end of this conduit is not required due to the exception referenced and listed in 300.15 (C) which states "A box or conduit body shall not be required where cables enter or exit from conduit or tubing that is used to provide cable support or protection against physical damage."  "A fitting shall be provided on the end(s) of the conduit of tubing to protect the cable from abrasion."  This fitting has not been installed to protect the wiring.  I brought this up to the technician installing the wiring and to the service manager.  They say this is how they always install it.  Despite having NEC code reference the service manager refuses to fix it or other issues.  The service manager will not address this section of the NEC code and simply states that it passed inspection and approval of the local authority.  The inspector did not even look in the attic after this work had been completed.  I was here for the inspection.  I have wasted a lot of time inspecting their work and fighting to get issues fixed and done correctly or as the provided plans show.  At this point I have not inspected all of their work, but believe there are issues with the conduit installed in the attic not being strapped at correct intervals (need to check the code further in regards to this) and one of the plastic clamps securing the conduit in place is cracked.  This issue has been brought up to the service manager at Fischer Electric, but his only reply is "The way it is installed is acceptable to the authorities having jurisdiction and they have the final say."  I mentioned to him that I will bring this up on Angie's List and to the city inspectors who did not inspect the attic after some of this work was completed and who cannot inspect and view all work completed, and he did not respond.
This job has taken quite a bit of time to complete.  Lately they have been showing up approximately once every two weeks.  There is some work that can still be completed, but much of their remaining work is being held up by the lack of cabinets in the kitchen.  The contract was signed at the very beginning of July and work commenced on or around July 22.  It took quite a bit of time to get to point where we are now with them only working on the job sporadically during this time period.
Response from CW Fischer Electric Inc
"It's unfortunate that (Member name removed) feels this way about our work and our company. We have responded to every one of his concerns and have also offered to return and fix his latest concern regarding the flexible conduit. There was a mistake made by one of our apprentices who did not make the proper connection at a junction box in the attic and we corrected it as soon as we became aware of it. Our employees occasionally make mistakes, but we stand behind all of our work and gladly return to fix any mistake that is our fault. (Member name removed) likes to quote all the electrical code sections he feels are pertinent to make his argument but what's missing in (Member name removed) review is the fact that we have passed all of our inspections the first time. When this was brought up to him, and when we disagreed with him about his application of certain code sections, his response was that the inspector was not doing his job correctly because "The City sent out a crippled inspector with a cane who couldn't do his job properly". As far as the time frame to get the work done is concerned, we are continually being held up by other contractors that are not showing up to the job for various reasons that we are not privy to, or that we can't control? Because (Member name removed) kitchen cabinet contractor abandoned the job, we are unable to finish the kitchen and energize circuits that have not been safely trimmed out. We also have had to coordinate our work with other entities that we have no control over such as Florida Power and Light (FPL) which is currently a month behind in scheduling their work. Their are many other factors that have effected the scheduling for this particular job including, but not limited to, creating plans, getting necessary permits, boring underneath roadways, etc. It is our sincere hope that (Member name removed) will step back and take all of these things into consideration, and that after this job is complete, he will re-think his assessment of our company?"

The former owner of my home cut into an existing circuit to install lights and fans, did not install junction boxes.  There was a cluster of wires in the attic.  It appeared to be a fire hazard, I wanted to get it fixed for a long time but was afraid that it would be expensive.  Fischer looked at it and gave me an estimate of 3-4 hours labor.  Don performed the work on a time and materials basis.  He went into the attic straight away and sorted it out quickly, no fooling around!  He replaced the wires on existing lighting in the utility room also.  I am very satisfied with the work that was done, total time spent was 3 hours.

I was given a date and time.  The electrician showed when scheduled.  He kept me advised of what he was doing throughout the process.
The work was completed when promised.  They cleaned up behind themselves.
From the beginning, everyone was very professional and courteous.  Ms. Allison in the office was outstanding!!  She was always cheerful and oh so helpful.  The technician and his helper were also very professional and helpful.  They answered any questions I had and did not hesitate to explain what was going on.
Needless to say, I will be using CW Fischer Electric whenever I need electrical work!!!!

I shopped the work out with two different companies from Angie's List.  Mitch, from CW Fischer, was on time and gave a much better price.  I was much more comfortable dealing with Mitch than the other company representative.  The office staff was also a pleasure to work with.  The job took a litlte longer than I anticipated, but it wasn't a big deal.  I would use and recommend them again.

My circuit breaker box was snapping & sparking, and lights were flashing; so I looked on Angie's list for an electrician and selected CW Fischer Electric. I called and got Alison who sent Justin over on the same day. He replaced a few parts and gave me the Angie 10% discount.  Wonderful! And no more sparking. What a relief! Yes, I highly recommend them!

We called them as a result of our search on the List. They had a great rating and we called them along with three others. We chose them on a gut feeling, soooo glad we did.We scheduled an appointment and have been blessed to have them on our side since the beginning of our renovation. Mitch came out to see us when scheduled, extremely pleasant, informative and best of all, honest. The whole team is punctual, professional, and friendly. The staff went beyond a job description to help us out with all the pitfalls of permitting. They made all the upgrades and installations as promised, on the day promised, without any hidden cost or fees. The office staff is phenomenal! Can't say enough good things about them. Alison and Natalie are a pair of angels. The work crew, was amazing! Not only did they do a fantastic job (we are very happy with the work as you can tell), but they left everything picked up, neat and swept. They met the inspectors at the site, dealt with additional issues that came up and gave us a fair price to address the new items. They are still working with us (thank goodness), hand holding us through the process. We recommend them highly!!!

The electricians that came in to my home were very prompt, courteous, professional and they weregreat at cleaning up after themselves. They took pictures of the work as they went along, as the insurance company required this along with a work order

with an itemized repair list & invoices which were then promptly emailed to me. I then forwarded these to my insurance company who then approved the work that CW Fischer Electric did for me. I"m grateful to this company for helping me get through this very stressful period with my insurance company and I  feel like my home is safer now since this work has been done.

I have used Fischer several times and have never been dissatisfied.  This time was no exception to my past experiences.
The two electricians, Jason and Peter, were a pleasure!  They were skilled, professional, and very polite.   They discussed the location of each light and made sure that I was satisfied before they began the work.  It was a messy, messy job that took all day but they did their best to protect areas out of the work space.
