It went VERY well. Mr Curt Contich and the rest of his team, lead by Serge, worked highly professionally, diligently, in a timely fashion, neatly, and with courtesy throughout the described rather extensive project. Everything was placed in storage so the team would have room to work, and I am still in the process of moving back my possessions and unpacking; however, it has definitely been worth the effort by all. The craftsmanship in the cabinetry, the installation of new appliances, the lighting effects and the overall attention to detail is admired, not only by me, but by family, friends and neighbors who have seen it. The result is a better functioning condominium overall. The project took a few months to complete and I had the help of a wonderful interior designer, who recommended and introduced me to Mr Contich. For that, I am grateful to her. The team members worked hard and well together. I am delighted with the results of this project, which I had dreaded. I doubt it could have been done any better.

I got a very complete estimate, and very competitive with other estimates. I haven't yet committed to construction, but when I do, it will be with Contich.

Curt Contich, the owner, is a University of Florida School of Construction Management Graduate, and it shows. Very profesional, unlike other GC's he is involved with every subcontractor, and the Design Architecht. He actually suggested pratical changes to the design that improved the overall finished product, reduced construction cost, and made the Structure stronger. He informs you of the process in selecting subs and usually gets two quotes from good contractors he has used in the past. He worked well with our very difficult city building department and gave them a gentle nudge when the plans were getting to be overdue- the inspectors in Pompano Beach know Contich Construction and the quality of work they do, and they usually pass all inspections the first time , They do it right. Mr. Contich communicates anytime there is a curve or delay, and over informs you on the details-which we lliked. I would reccomend you use an Architect that Contich works with, he has several, we used Mark Budd, we liked him. His main foreman is a French Canadian man named Serge, very charming and trustworthy. He is there with the subcontractors when they work and supervises the Contich men for their portion. You can trust him with the keys to your house.

Having endured numerous renovations in the past, I have come to learn that there are two categories of general contractors: one large group which consists of contractors that inflate their prices, show up only when they feel like it, do shoddy work, need constant direction, and leave you frustrated and wondering why you ever bothered in the first place.
The other type is much rarer and should be treasured, commended and recommended to friends. Contich Construction definitely fits in the latter category.
I initially hired Contich (after receiving a high recommendation from my insurance agency) to execute my 4-Point inspection. After contacting nearly a dozen contractors for a home renovation in Fort Lauderdale (most of which did not return phone calls), I decided to work with Contich to turn my beaten-down, newly-purchased 1950’s house into a showplace. I was not disappointed. We came to an initial agreement that involved major interior and exterior work which was performed and paid for on an hourly-basis. That way, I could monitor the progress, make decisions and budget the project accordingly. They worked within my schedule (not me surrendering to their schedule) and the final product was excellent. In fact, each worker was professional, punctual, communicative, good-humored, polite and focused on each job at hand.
Managing the enterprise was the company’s owner, Curt Contich. A tall, well-groomed gentleman, Mr. Contich was a complete pleasure to work with. Affable, encyclopedically-knowledgeable, able to predict future challenges (this is especially helpful when dealing with the surprises of renovating of an older home), and understanding of the owner’s stress under such a project, Mr. Contich was a solid presence throughout the endeavor; reachable when needed; always there with helpful advice when surprises materialized during the process.
I highly recommend this company; and will hire them again in the future.
