Ciccone Construction

Benjamin Gray is the listed President who wrote the contract for our kitchen renovation. During our process after the contract was signed Uri Ostrovsky was the main contact who seemed to run the operation and make the decisions which, in our opinion, were a disaster and totally illogical from a remodeling standpoint.

Yakov Segalis was the licensed General Contractor of record. We NEVER saw him at our residence nor heard from him throughout the dealings with Ciccone Construction.

Our claim against Ciccone that is on the Broward County Website states in part;

CONTRACTOR materially breached the contract by inter alia: failing to timely perform; failing to perform in a workmanlike manner; failure to retain properly licensed persons to furnish improvements; failure to obtain proper approvals for work allegedly furnished; utilizing unlawful, underage, and undocumented workers; failure to properly supervise; intentionally utilizing inferior materials and labor; furnishing defective work and materials; becoming hostile, threatening, and abusive to Defendants, and abandoning the Project.

At one point an argument ensued and Uri Ostrovky tried to have my wife arrested and thrown in jail. In our opinion you should move on and find someone different to do your job. It has been a horrible experience with them and we don?t want you to go through h*** like we have.

We signed contract with Ciccone Construction,Inc on 1/22/15.We paid deposit . They started work in April and we were required to pay second installment. As soon as they did demolition, they demanded additional payment , threatening work stoppage despite contract stipulation of payment after plumbing and tile work is completed.It was not the last time they threaten to stop working -we went through that routine twice more. When we ask contractor to follow timelines of payment he signed on contract, he told us he would not honor contract, if we will not pay on his demand, he will drop the project. The contract stated that 4th installment is due after work passes inspection and final payment on completion of the job. They send us a bill for a final payment in the middle of July, claiming that work is finished and ready for inspection. We paid final bill of $6249at the end of July. On August 12(as we found out later) electrical inspection failed, plumbing inspection had not been done and final inspection was not done either. We were assured that everything was finished and we could move in. When we came to apartment on September 21 we saw that they are redoing the bathroom, because tiles were falling out. At that point (after my wife said how she felt about it) thy demanded an E-mail from us, which they pretty much compose, absolving them from any wrongdoing otherwise they would not continue work. Over a period of a month bathroom has been redone twice. When we left for New York, due to family circumstances, bathroom still was not finished, despite contractor's claim that everything is done. But tile work has to be redone, shower stall is crooked, shower door has chipped glass and does not slide. Besides bathroom problems all the doors that have been installed use old frames and not trimmed contrary to contract agreement. Some of the new tiles in living room and bedroom have been chipped, scratched and stained. We can not replace tiles on a floor, manufacturer discontinue this size of this particular tile. It took 11 month between we bought tiles and time cintractor dropped the project. All appliances in the kitchen had to be reinstalled by kitchen cabinet company. Electrical inspection failed. We were told by licensing department that license used by Ciccone Construction,Inc belongs to kitchen cabinet company Ciccone Cabinets, which uses different address and different principal name . We have no knowledge if it is proper, but it does not sound wright to us. Bathroom walls have holes, shower can not be used due to multiple problems, all in all apartment can not be occupied. Representative of a company told us he will be our project manager, but when we start asking questions, owner took over and bullied us. Contact us if any questions.

The service was phenomenal, the customer service was great and the service was extremely well performed and on time with completion date. I had my shower gutted and the floor tiled. I had my shower rebuilt with shower pan and cement sub walls with tiles. I had the plumbing done throughout the bathroom and had bathroom tiled. The vanity was removed and reinstalled a new one and I had dual sinks. Demo and garbage removal and labor and materials are all provided.

I cant say my experience was horrible. I walked into my bathroom feeling like 100 bucks. My bathroom was successfully remodeled from the floor and up. The vanity, toilet, tile, exc... I got to choose with the estimator and manager and the designer which is the estimator which was even better helped alot also by sketching out where i wanted everything, I have already told friends and showed my family, we love the team from this company and the cna do attitude is there. I trust this company and will definitely use this company again.

The job was a success and professional. Everyone was trustworthy and i would definitely recommend to my friends and family.
Estimator sat with me and helped me make a decisions on all part of the remodeling from tile to appliances. The estimator was also my designer which was impressive and he helped explain all plans and floor reviews to me.
