BC AC & Refrigeration

This company was hired to do an ac replacement. My original condo unit was 1 1/2 ton.(to my understanding). I specifically dealt with a man named Wyman to cover paperwork. Then I was dealing with Raul Chang and his assistant Moses. They showed up, went on the roof and replaced both internal and external components. After completing that, Raul informed me that their was a leak issue with a copper line and stated that could have created my issues. He didn’t check this out beforehand. I said this means I spent thousands to replace something which didn’t need change out. The response was nothing more than a dumb stare. My bill hadn’t changed so I called again after learning that at least a 2 ton unit should have been installed. Upon his return and in front of another party he said he couldn’t understand nor knew why things hadn’t improved. I confronted on a call with him regarding he replacement stating to him that after consulting with other ac co’s that he should have known that at least a 2 ton should have been installed. I specifically asked him what else was on the roof. He not 2 ton and larger. I asked if he had noted that when he brought the new 1 1/2 ton unit. He said no and he didn’t note it until he went back on the roof after returning to check things out subsequent to my call. The units are within a foot of one another and he didn’t note he was about to and did install the wrong unit? He should have stopped any install from day one, informed me that the two ton was needed. He could have returned the initial unit for a 2 ton and did not. During that call he denied everything and became confrontational. About a week goes by and my stating that something had to be corrected he said he’d install a new 2 ton compressor and fan coil to match. I agreed to pay for parts, he agreed to eat labor. I’ve since asked for receipt which he hasn’t provided. I’ve also been informed that it’s the condenser that needs changing. He knew this and completely ignored telling me the truth. In reality he lied. After he installed the 2 ton, he said to me I hope this takes care of the problem. I asked why it shouldn’t to which he offered no reply. He knew very well at that time the condenser needed to be changed as well. So now I paid 3+k for the initial install, another 1100.00 for what he replaced and cannot get this company to respond. I’ve also learned that my, what should have been 10 year warranty may be void as the components no longer match. I’ve sent numerous texts to Raul Chang without reply and have also left messages with Wyman who isn’t t returning calls either. My next step is to follow up with emails. Now I’m out over 4K for a job which shouldn’t have cost more than 3k and dealing with an individual and company who I now know is not reputable. My next complaint will go out to the BBB.
