Ardent Door & Millwork

Mike did a great job on my shop's exterior door. He is prompt and professional. He pulled the permit and installed the door. The inspector came out and everything was done well. He has worked on my doors when I needed just repairs and always comes out right away.

Mike is a God send!  SUPER Nice and he knows his stuff!  Very very experienced in his work, his workmanship is impeccable and has great ideas or tips to give. He's always on time. Mike 's prices are very reasonable as well.  We are extremely pleased with all of the multiple jobs we've hired Mike for from installing doors, taking out doors, rebuilding frames, etc.  A+ in our book!

I paid a $500 check deposit for a fire rated door to be installed at a total cost of $775, estimated time 3-4 weeks. The door took two months to arrive, arising some suspicion. However, Michael promptly brought the door and installed. Several details needed finishing requiring a second visit and Michael completed the job timely once the door arrived. He also changed lockset to match on my other door. Very much appreciated! I have referred him to several people in my building an I would certainly use him again despite the door taking so long to arrive.

The framing around the door was not placed flush to the wall. There is a 1-1/2and quot; gap between the framing and the wall on three sides of the door (top, left, right). I had to hire someone to fix the gaps. Additionally, instead of retrofitting the frame around the baseboard, he just 'stapled' the frame directly ONTO the baseboard. Very poor attention to detail.
Also, since the door is not level, it swings wide open when not held.
When it was time for the inspection, Michael instructed me to get in touch with the city to schedule it. I was under the impression that was part of his job.

!First Michael came to my house to take measurements for the double doors. After I ordered them he picked them up and came and installed them. He really took his time to make sure everything was perfect...and it was. They look great

Michael showed up and made a proposal. I had received three othe proposals but Michael seemed to be the most knowledgeable. His price proposal was slightly lower than the others. Once i agreed to use Ardent door and millwork we set up an appt on Sunday. Michael showed up on time and was ready to begin. He completed the doors and baseboard intallation within the time that he said it would take. He and his work were extremely professional. Once the job was complete, he cleaned everything up. We will definitely contact him later this year for some impact doors that we need to do on our home.

It was a good experience. He was a resonable and nice. He showed up on time. My only complaint was that the door had scratches , but that was to no fault of his it was from a third party that the door was purchased from.
