At first everything was going well and looked good; the mastik used blended with color of unit looked fine and then they had to return because the heating element was the incorrect one. From then on I had to rethink my review. So they returned to install the correct heating element and also to extend the slab (after air conditioner was installed). I wasn't aware when they left and then I went to the back of my home to look and you'll see what I mean by looking at the pictures. Am I being too critical to say that its a sloppy job, they have indicated they will return to make it more presentable. I'm still waiting, of course, I know the weather and hurricane has caused delays. There was also miscommunication on what I wanted done. I had also asked if they could ask the installers about the job and why they added more mastik and in a different color but I never got a response on that one. So called president handed me his card, and seem pleasant enough during install. I sent message to him never heard back from that person. The air conditioner is working well. Since I'm an Angie's list member I thought it best to give my review.

An Air Magic technician came by and said the unit was new and there was no problem. However he did not bother to check and drain the water in the tray inside the air-conditioning unit. He just looked from outside and said it looked good. He pushed the monitor buttons a few times and just said everything was fine with little effort to looking into the unit where the water tray was. I felt I was stupid to call a technician for maintenance. Since I was new to the area and I came from an area where air-conditioner was not used, I thought that was all about so called "maintenance." So at that time I thought I would never use maintenance service--it seemed a waste of money. A year later I called Aspen Air conditioning for maintenance/tune up because they offered a special ($29.99). I realized how lousy service I got from Air Magic. The Aspen technician came and crawled down under the unit to check copper wires (whereas Air Magic technician simply said he couldn't crawl down there and that's it) and any water dripped there. He wiped out everything. And he opened the unit and cleaned the water clog inside and wet vacuumed from outside pipe. He tested out all voltage and everything so thoroughly for yearly maintenance. None of this was done by Air Magic. It was literally paying for someone to come out to tell me our conditioner was brand new and no need for any work. Both cases I called for yearly maintenance/tune up and the difference in service quality was vast. The Air Magic technician was overall friendly but provided a lousy service. I just wanted to share what I found out from these two services.

Went well, simple job for the professionals

The man who came out for the initial consult was good, very attentive, gave me good advice. They were the only HVAC company to charge $65 for the consult, but I knew that ahead of time and went ahead with the consult anyway. However, when I got the quote for the mini-split system and labor their quote was very high. I had two other A/C companies bid the exact same model system and labor and Air Magics quote was a good deal more. I did let them know that their quote was a lot higher than the other companies, but they never responded. This was a super simple, single unit mini split replacement. There are no real "variables" to account for. Doesn't get much more straightforward, so the price difference really wasn't warranted.  I was disappointed by their high price especially considering I had them out and paid their consult fee.

It went well. They were, prompt, efficient, professional and affordable

It was August, it was HOT. My family was in town visiting from MI and when we returned from some errands the house felt humid and increasingly warm. It was after 5p and we called dozens of companies and everyone said they couldn't come out for about 2 days. We had a 1 year old and 3 year old, and this was not an option! We found Air Magic on Angies List (actually signed up for AL because we needed some recommendations) and he was willing to come out that evening about 830p after finishing a job. Showed up on time, clean, and professional. Discussed everything with my husband after running a few tests inside and outside. We decided to purchase the unit for outside, he said that he could get it by the next afternoon and start the install late afternoon early evening. Well he showed up again, on time, clean and professional. Took care of the replacement and hauled away the old unit. He was an absolute pleasure to interact with and deal with. I've recommended him to several friends that have had AC issues as well. A+ all the way!

Air Magic was polite and professional and punctual.  They checked my entire system, vacuumed inside, added some freon outside and sprayed down the baffling as well brought me an unusually sized filter.  The gentleman, Everton, who came out kindly showed me and explained to me  what he was doing and pointed out some things I should know about.  Their price was extremely fair and I will never use another company as long as I am here. These are the people you want.

I would like to take this opportunity to extol the superior customer service that Lynn K., administrator, and Kerri, office manager of Air Magic Company of Fort Lauderdale, FL afforded me. Lynn is the daughter of the owner of the Air Magic Company. One morning after the air conditioner was running continuously, I realized that the coils in the air handler had a thick layer of ice. I called Air Magic and Lynn suggested to put the thermostat on the fan position and turn off the A/C in order to defrost the ice. That afternoon Dexter, the AC technician, came to the house to assess the problem. The contacter and the condensor had to be replaced. Mark, another technician, came to the home and replaced the contracter and suggested that the coils required cleaning. Instead of trying to persuade me to buy a total new unit, it was advised that just the coils needed replacement. Dexter came the following day to change the coils. The extra care that Dexter consciously and professionally took to provide exemplary workmanship out to be high commended. Lynn's integrity and ethical quality out to be highly admired for she could have stated that I would need to purchase a whole new unit. Lynn's kindness, professionalism, courtesy, honorableness, and patience are highly praise worthy and admirable. Air Magic's administrator and employees' dedication to provide sincere and accurate assessment of the problems out to be an exemplification to others in the business community. If I were able, I would give the Air Magic Company an A++ in all categories.

Trevor was very informative and left the area just as he found it. He was very thorough and polite. I will also use them to quote a new complete system.

FPL came out and performed the test, resulting that we needed repair or replacement of the a/c ducts. Bob sent this technician out to repair and replace the ducts that couldn't be repaired. He also removed all the air vents and sealed them. The Technician was very professional, knowledgeable and did an excellent job in 4-5 hours. Afterwards he cleaned everything and left our home the way he found it. Air Magic doesn't do the insulation but suggested another company that will be here Monday. We can already notice the difference and our a/c unit isn't working as hard which should lower our bill. Thank you Bob and your team for doing an excellent job

Mark, the Technician, was very professional and knowledgeable of our system which water comes from a well.  He diagnosed the problem quickly and had the AC cooling again in about half an hour.  Although I felt the price of service was on the high side I would use Air Magic again due the prompt, efficient service and would recommend to others.

They provided a great service. Something went wrong and they came out and fixed it with no problem.

I've used Air Magic for years and the service has always been exceptional.  Today I had the A/C system checked before the hot summer season hits here in south Florida.  The technician arrived on time, and spent two hours checking the system and cleaning the condenser coils and vacuuming the condensate drain.  All of this for only $70.00!  He also told me how I could extend the life of my 15 year old A/C.  
A couple of years ago, the air-handler fan motor failed.  I called Air Magic on a Sunday afternoon and within an hour, they had a technician here to replace the fan motor.  I've never had better service from anyone!

Air Magic has serviced my air conditioner for years and replaced my former 20+ year old air conditioner.  They provide superb service and conscientiously call me to remind of my twice annual services to keep my air conditioner in tip-top shape.  They also provide a reduced fee amount for paying for two services in advance.  I have been delighted with their services for more than a decade!
