POOL LEAK GURU, LLC

A few years ago I had an issue with one of my fountains draining, on top of a multitude of other problems, which made me suspect I had a leak somewhere. Will gave me some fantastic advice which saved me hundreds of dollars of time, parts, and labor. Unfortunately I lost his information, and wasn't able to leave this review back then. I just stumbled upon this page this week and I just wanted to thank you, Will, for your help. Will seemed like a great, genuine guy. If you're considering his company for your work, definitely give him a call.

Excellent work. After 2 other pool companies 'fixed' our leak - Pool Leak Guru actually did the job.

Upon inspection, he determined the pool was fine. He actually called a friend to ask about the possibility of an irrigation system leak and helped me troubleshoot that.

Could not have asked for better.

Will did a thorough job of assessing the problem, including using a breathing apparatus to inspect the pool drain at the deep end of the pool. After ascertaining the source of the leak, he repaired it and patched up some places which were not leaking, but had the potential to eventually do so. He took the time to explain exactly what he was doing and why and charged quite a reasonable price for his time and effort.

Very well, he was punctual and helpful and showed follow through. I also had a leak in my pump that he could not fix and got another service man out that day to repair it.

Will Peters ( company owner) made an appointment for Friday afternoon to take a look at my pool leak. I have an auto fill feature on my pool, and only found out about my leak because of a changed out water meter. The county worker advised me that the meter was running even though no one was using any water at the time. Will was running a little late but called to inform me of his new arrival time well in advance. Once on site Will got into the pool and quickly identified the problem area and fixed the leak. He also
checked all other possible leak areas to insure that I only had the one leak. He added some anti leak material to two other locations that looked a little worn, but weren't actually leaking at this time. I thought that Will did a great job of finding and fixing my leak in a timely and professional manner. Would highly recommend this gentleman for any pool leak work that you may have. He has all the necessary equipment to find your leak, no matter where it is located.

They found the leak easily and fixed it. They also provided additional service to other areas that could use preventative treatment to prevent a future leak. That was done at no extra charge. The company was very responsiveness and communicated well.

We had been in our home for approximately 4 months. Over that period we noticed that our pool had been losing water at a rate of approximately 50 gallons per day. We referenced Angie's List and Pool Leak Guru had consistent superior ratings. We called the company and spoke to the owner, Mr. William (Will) Peters. Mr. Peters was very accommodating on scheduling an appointment for the following Tuesday in the morning.
Upon arrival on the day of the appointment, Will thoroughly inspected our pool, including the pool lights and pods, return jets, skimmers, sump, and tile line. He identified the source of the water loss (a leak in a skimmer) within a few minutes and repaired the leak. He also identified potential issues in other areas of the pool (e.g., the sump has a pop-up relief valve that could start leaking in the future, and capping an overflow pipe to prevent subsurface erosion). Since we are in the process of scheduling a pool resurfacing, Mr. Peters advised us to let the re-surfacing company know about the relief valve and capping off the unneeded overflow pipe ahead of time. Mr. Peters also advised us on other issues that should be addressed when we re-surface our pool. The skimmer leak repair and professional advise on potential pool issues were at no extra charge.
Upon completion of the pool inspection and repair, which took approximately 2 hours, Mr. Peters assured us that he would follow up with additional visits until all issues with pool leaks were resolved to our satisfaction. Over the past 24 hours, instead of worrying about how much water we were losing (and where it might be going), we found ourselves worrying about the affect on our pool water level from the rain storm the previous night, as our pool kept filling - a problem we've never had before because the rain has never kept up with the leakage.
The bottom line - We couldn't have asked for better service and highly recommend Pool Leak Guru to anybody with a pool problem.

I contacted the owner of the company, Will Peters, and made an appointment because I was adding water three times a week. Will was confident he could find the leak. Will called the morning of the appointment and said he could come earlier which was fine with me. Will asked me questions about my problem, was extremely courteous and professional. He told me what he was going to do and how. He also told me things he could not do, but would be able to recommend someone. For example, if the leak was underground or under the deck. Will was able to find the leak in one of the jets and at the waterfall in about 10 minutes. He began to check other parts of the pool for leaks. He checked all jets, the underwater valves, the light fixture and the basket. Will did not find any other leaks but told me that the basket area would leak eventually so he reinforced it so it would not leak in the future. He did preventive maintenance where other companies may have not; to be charged for a second visit. After Will was done, he explained everything to me and told me that he wanted me 100% happy and would come out again if needed. He provided me with a written invoice and accepted a personal check. Will placed black tape at the pool level so I would be able to see if the pool was leaking. It has been two days and the level is the same. I was very happy with the service and would highly recommend this company.

Will showed up on time and was courteous and knowledgeable about pools and their problems. He was able to determine where our pool was leaking. We were unaware of one of our leaks and he discovered it and fixed it for no extra charge. The leak that we had called him about was not as serious as we had thought. He was honest about what kinds of things he could fix and what he could not. He had referrals for the types of things that he did not do. We were very impressed. We had made an appointment with another pool repair person, but when we read about Pool Leak Guru on Angie's list we cancelled the other appointment and called Will. We are so glad that we did. He saved us money and was great to deal with.

I called the Pool Leak Guru after researching Angie's List and reading all of the reviews for businesses in this field. His price was better than others and he was very responsive in returning my call and answering my many questions. We scheduled an appointment and Will showed up on time, and immediately began surveying our pool. Will found and repaired a previous repair job that was still leaking, and after checking everything else around the surface of the pool he dove the pool to check other areas. Will spent most of his time here underwater finding and repairing leaks in the drain and a lengthy crack in the deep end. Keep in mind this is in February with 60-degree water, but he was well equipped with a wetsuit, air supply system and all of the other high tech equipment you'd expect from a high-end leak detection company. Will took before and after pictures of the drain area and provided us with copies for our files. Will took the time to strengthen a few areas that weren't leaking, but are vulnerable to leaks. After he was finished, he marked the water level and this morning the pool level hadn't dropped one ounce, which is a first since we've moved in. I wish I would have hired him to check the pool when we were working on purchasing this home.

I was very happy with this provider. Our old big pool was losing water and we had no idea where to begin looking. This provider told me ahead of time it would be $225 plus any additional cost in major repairs. He only charged me an additional $25 after finding and fixing 3 leaks in our pool. He was at our house approximately 3 hours. That was over a month ago and our pool hasn't lost any water since. We highly recommend him. He has changed his name to Pool Leak Guru I think.

I left a message on his service (now called Pool Leak Guru); he returned my call in just a few minutes. He explained his policy for leak repair (less than half the cost of the last company I used for this), then arranged a time the next day to come and diagnose and fix the leaks, which he did effectively and efficiently. No water loss since! This is one of the best customer service experiences I have had; I strongly recommend him.
