The store in Fernandina Beach is good to deal with. Upon arriving with the first ordered glass panel, Tom the on site technician, quickly could see and agreed that what was ordered the first time (July) was not the correct grid size to match our other French doors. He relayed this to the office manager, and the second order was the exact grid size to match our others. Once the new order arrived, Tom came and installed the correct panel.
While we had some hiccups initially in the order in July, I would use this company ( the Fernandina Beach management) again. Only reason I had to choose B grades was the time delay - 3 months to complete this task and that it could have been done correctly the first time.

They responded quickly and did a good job fixing the window. They are a national company, but they do work locally. We have also taken little projects into their store and they do small mirrors as well.

They have excellent follow up. They satisfied my concerns after installation. The price was fair.

The previous owners of our home (which the Realtors referred to as the "mirror house") had twelve 60" tall beveled mirrors installed in two rows on the high walls of the dining room (14-foot ceilings). Another four mirrors of equal size were on the opposite wall. In addition, there were six mirrors on one bedroom wall, as a sort of headboard. I have been anxious to get rid of these mirrors for more than a year and tried to find out the best way to do it ourselves. It was too nerve-wracking to even think about, considering the size of the mirrors and how high some were placed. I envisioned a nightmare of broken mirrors, and drywall replacement, as the mirrors were applied with adhesive. Lee & Cates came to the rescue. They came out and gave me an estimate beforehand and explained how the removal would be done. We made an appointment and the two workmen showed up within 5 minutes of the appointment time. They used a large suction device and pulled every mirror off, leaving only the patches on the walls where the adhesive pulled off the drywall paper covering. We are having these rooms painted, so it will be no problem for the painters to patch these areas first. Only two mirrors out of the total of 22 broke in a significant way; some chipped but most came off whole... not that we wanted to keep them anyway, but the minimal breakage meant easy cleanup and no danger to those around. The two men did a great job and were extremely safe working together, making sure they each knew what the other was doing, considering one was on a ladder working with long mirrors and tools. If I ever need any glass or mirror work, I would definitely call Lee & Cates.
