Kenny's Electrical, Plumbing and Contracting

He did a very fine job of re-siding and painting the house. It looks beautiful. I saw a comment about him being expensive but he probably is expensive because he uses top quality of everything. I think he did a fine job and his workers were competent. They are all local people and friendly. We all went to high school together. The workers were a bit crude but the finished product is good. I think they might be doing it since they were in high school and they are all probably in their 50's so they have a lot of experience. He sub contracted a roofer who also did a fairly good job. I didn't like his punctuality because he would make an appointment for 3 and show up at 7. The roof turned out very nice. The guy was very charming. He delayed things and tried to charm his way out of it. He was maintaining a job in Jacksonville and he had travel between my place and there. He did do the things that he told me he would do. He has a full time job and he oversees this operation and he didn't do any of the work himself. He would come by in the mornings and evening and check stuff out. I had a design for the garage and he turned it out really well. Everybody in my neighborhood came by and told me how great it looks. Apparently he must have done a good job. It was a large job. Time wise they were here for about six weeks. We didn't set a time by which it should get done as it was my first experience of doing any of this. The guy who painted the job was his relative but this guy painted the house by hand. I had high board put and after every board that was put in it was cocked in and painted. The painter was meticulous and he is not a painter by profession. He was just somebody who is fussy about what he does. We have a 2 story house and the whole house was hand painted. He wanted that look and it would look solid. I was pleased and I really did want it hand painted. I was going to have someone who wanted to spray paint it but then I know that if it was really not done well you could see it. If Kenny was to do a painting job I would suggest that you ask for his cousin Francis to do the painting. I haven't checked the price with anybody else. They were here always in the morning when it started but when the job was nearly ending they used to leave early. I wasn't too happy with that. I think they were tired because they were here for about 7 weeks. They were courteous but they made a mess and would smoke a lot. They were butts and nails every where. The clean up was not there. I would find cigarette butts and drinks all over the place.
