We've sold five houses in the past 15 years and this was the worst ever performance by a realtor.
There has been confusion and errors in the process from the beginning almost as if this was the realtor's first transaction.  The items included:  1) errors in handling the contract, e.g.  missing or duplicate contract addenda,  incorrect or inconsistent dates for important milestones;  2)  botched closing scheduling.
The botched closing resulted in the failure, by several members of the realty team, to let the closing company know that we would not attend the closing and they would need to mail us our documents in advance.  The realty team have been notified, in response to their query, by both email and telephone (twice) that we would not attend.  On the morning of the closing, 30 minutes prior to its start, we were called by the closing company (in Florida) to ask if we (in Virginia) were attending the event.  I guess they thought Scotty would beam us up.  I would call this a comedy of errors but it's not funny when so much of my money is involved.

We have been really pleased with the real estate agent and the office. It just has a lot of angst but you can't hold them responsible. She has worked really hard and been very professional in trying to find homes in her price bracket. She is very good about telling my granddaughter about the legal ramifications as far as the rules with each house.
