Drews Masonry and Home Repair

I hired this company to lay a slab of concrete under my hot tub. The hot tub was already in place. Mike, the owner said he could do the job. Well I’m guessing the 1st day should’ve been a sign. He text me the day prior to say they will be on property between 8:30-9 am. I waited for them to show, for I had errands to run. My cameras showed them showing up about 11am. They were gone by 3pm. Not even a full days work. When I got home I found my hot tub off the ground. The pavers that were holding it up originally were removed. Concrete bags were sitting on my deck path. The next day or so, 2 workers returned. Those 2 workers mixed up the concrete mixture and laid it. As they were finishing up, one worker was very unprofessional and started making it known that he liked black women. Unprofessional. I went in my house, because I had no interest and I was paying them $1,500.00 to complete a job. Before they left my property, I brought to their attention the damage they caused to my grass in several spots. They ran the water so much, they drowned my grass. I texted Mike to let him know of the damage and to ask him about trying to save my grass with some soil. 48hours later 1 worker returned to finish the job. No one came to assist him. He even told me he tried to text his boss and he never responded. Mind you my grass still had not been addressed. Hours later, Mike showed up with the soil. He did apply it in certain areas. His daughter who came with him and his additional worker told him he missed a spot or two. He told me he would replace my grass, if it didn’t fix the problem. Once they left, I went to open the cover on my hot tub. Well it didn’t open 100%. I text Mike to inform him of that and that he left a tool behind. He showed up the next evening alone. He attempted to fix the error they caused. About 1.5hrs later, he said he will come back the next day with a worker to push the bar that was now being blocked by the deck post. Since the bar was sitting under the pavers originally, it could go back in the same space. Well Mike never showed up. I texted him to see what time he was coming Saturday morning, but he never responded. Mind you Mike knew I had an event scheduled for July 4th. I texted him this morning to express my disappointment in him and his company. He responded telling me that my hot tub was not his responsibility and that my bar was in the ground when they arrived. I reminded him of what he said the last time he was on site that needed to be done. Well Drew Masonry “Mike” left the bar to my hot tub cover unscrewed and inoperable. I will not recommend this company to anyone. They are unprofessional, damaging to property and do messy work.
