I purchased a maintenance plan from Abbott Air for my AC unit in August 2020. I was not having any problems at all with the system at the time, in fact I had NEVER had any problems with it until I hired Abbott Air, I just wanted to be prudent in keeping it maintained properly. The technicians did not arrive at the time promised, so I was not there when they came to service the system. However my handyman was there and overheard them discussing a warranty. Just 3 months later, there was a problem, the first time ever. A pleasant man came out said it needed a new transformer which he replaced to the tune of $368 as there was no warranty according to them. Then in January this year there was yet another problem when the blower unit went out. I truly wish I had not hired Abbot Air to do the maintenance as I had never had a problem until they messed with it. However, the second guy let slip that it should have been under warranty, but he said he could not locate it under my name and address. I said I would do some research on it, he charged $107 call out fee which he said would be taken off the bill if I repaired the blower motor with them for $425. The very first phone call I made turned out to be another AC company (I had thought I was calling the parts dealer). They immediately looked up the unit and found the warranty in my name within 60 seconds. They also informed me of the date it was installed and who installed it. I called the company I had purchased it from, and they came out and fixed the blower motor for FREE. They also stated that the transformer would have been under warranty too. I called Abbot Air and requested they refund at least the $107 call-out fee they had charged in January, the manager came on the phone and refused to refund, even though I had paid them $368 on a repair that if they had bothered to check should have been FREE. For some odd reason he then stated I had not paid for the maintenance plan (which clearly, I am not going to use anymore with Abbott Air anyway). If I had in fact not paid for it, I am not sure why that would not have come up on the maintenance date, the transformer visit or the blower replacement visit. If that man had at least refunding the call-out fee I probably would not have written this review, but he refused. Hey Ho. I will not be using Abbott Air again and do not recommend them.

I have used them for 5 years and I have recommended them many times. They are very responsive and I will continue to use them.

First company I called quoted me $900 (which included the cost of a service agreement). Tthen on the recommendation of a neighbor called Abbott Air for a second opinion. I was told all was fine. The total cost $199 (Including service agreement)!!! The technician that serviced unit was very professional and chock full of suggestions as to how to maintain the unit for max efficiency! They were great and I would definitely call them again.

Wonderful! They explained everything in detail. They were polite, friendly, and on time. I would highly recommend them and will be contacting them again for future service.

They are very good. They are very professional. They have a book of recommendations from customers that is probably 5 inches thick. 

I also have a contract for them to clean and service it.

We were renting a condo and the A/C unit quit cooling properly. The maintenance company called Abbott about 4pm and by 430, we got a call from our technician, Dave. He advised they were busy but would stay in touch with us about their eta. He kept in touch two other times prior to 645, when he let us know he would be there in 20-30 mins. 25 mins later he showed up and got to work. He was personable and professional, even gave us restaurant recommendations while he was working. Stayed until about 845 at night getting our unit working again. Communication was outstanding, if I lived here they would be my new go-to hvac company. Highly recommend.

AC was not cooling properly, wouldn't cool below 82 degrees. Performed tests, made adjustments and cleaned unit. Did NOT try to sell me a new unit. In fact, convinced me that even though it was 11 years old, it still was working well. Very honest

Their customer service is excellent and they are always very professional. They have always been honest and they provide very good work. I would recommend them to anyone.

The Abbott Team responded within an hour of the call and had the problem evaluated within 15 minutes. They advised they would be working on it immediately and have us back in business in several hours.
