After the installation was finally completed ten months after it needed to be finished, we had mold issues in the home because he did not properly install the drain for the system, and therefore all the air that was being blown into the home was going over standing water, which did not drain, because he had placed the drainage going uphill, so the water did not drain.
"Angie’s list response We have reviewed this complaint and unfortunately there are some valid complaints but most are not correct. This degrading situation was due to a hardship of a long distance relationship (out of state customer) making this project difficult to keep moving and getting budget approvals by this customer. To keep this project moving forward we needed customer consent, whereas, we made numerous phone calls to her out of state residence and in most cases her replies were not until days after. As to the electrical requirements, this customer was notified that she had to make arrangements to have the electrical completed prior to our installation, we are not a licensed electrical contractor, nor did we ever suggest a contractor to her. I’m sorry to say she seems to have forgotten that she had contacted the electrical and made arrangements for the installation and cost. I truly understand that her being unavailable and out of state may have confused the timeline and her responsibilities. As to the drain line, due to her old unit not functioning we had to immediately install a temporary drain line onto the roughed in new unit to make sure that her home was being protected during her absence. As to the drain-line, it was installed at a 12 degree pitch as needed and was functioning properly when we installed and tested it. I’m not sure what she is stating; we never detected a leak when we reinstalled the finished drain line to the new unit. What is most interesting, if you look at our past customer satisfaction record on Angie’s List, 100 percent of them have given our team an “A+” rating. I’m sorry for her unfortunate situation but I truly believe this customer was frustrated and the confusion with having to deal with another contractor’s long distance only caused more miss information and blame onto the other."
I worked with Michelle to schedule the installation. She was very helpful before and after the installation to answer my questions and manage the county inspection request, warranty paperwork and rebate processing.
Mike and Steve did a great job on the installation. They were right on time on the day of installation. The installation workmanship was of a high quality. They did a complete job of cleaning up after their work and explaining the information I needed regarding the new system.
Dealing with the company was a pleasure and I recommend them highly to anyone looking for similar services.
