We just bought a small beach house and interviewed several local contractors. Each provided an estimate. Our scope of work was orginally to remodel our master bath and tile our Florida room (16 x27). The owner of the firm, Trace, is hands on and was involved throughout the entire process. He is meticulous and very detail oriented. Trace has a show room in Edgewater that contains cabinet, tile and granit samples. He also owns a granite company which can and did facilitate the speed of the project and materials used. He supplied the bathroom cabinets, hardware and granite. Our house is small beach house, so the bath is very small. We were able to use granite scraps for our shower trim and bathroom cabinet countertop thus saving us time, money and the coordination hassle of having to work with severa[ contractors. We also had them re-tile and replace the commode jn our guest bathroom, which was done at minimal cost, since they were already there.

Our Florida room has a concrete floor that appeared to be poured by a handy man. It had several cracks, dips and an elevated portion that could have been problematic. However, Trace and his crew were able to smooth out and level the concrete making it look beautiful. I failed to mention that Trace had concerns about the cracks in our concrete and he recommended that we pour footers around the outside of the Florida room (none were created when the room was orignally poured). We did have the footers poured and needless to say the job came out excellent.

The remodeling experience was phenomenal. I would strongly recommend Southeast Volusia Building and Remodeling. We are planning on having our kitchen remodeled in the near future. When we do, we will ask Trace back. I couldn't imagine anyone doing a better job.

Every aspect of the job was well done! Trace has a comprehensive website that is very impressive. I read it before calling him and his immediate responsiveness to my initial inquiry followed up with a phone call made me knew he was the right contractor for us. He is smart and very knowledgable about his business. He is prompt and informative in his communications. He pays attention to detail; he and his team are craftsmen of the highest order. My husband especially appreciated the fact that Trace always does the job the right way. No cutting corners or sloppy work here! We were on a tight schedule with the upstairs kitchen due to moving my mother-in-law from another state over the Christmas holiday. When we took down the ceiling and walls, we discovered some unexpected issues. Trace and his electrician determined the best options for dealing with them and quickly made up time to keep us on schedule. Throughout the upstairs job, he worked overtime as needed to keep us on schedule when my increase in scope caused the job to grow. We were so happy with the upstairs that we immediately hired Trace to work on the downstairs. Having never done a major remodel, this experience exceeded our expectations. The quality of workmanship and materials was superb, the price was fair, and working with Trace and his team was a pleasure. They are polite, don't curse or smoke, and clean up the job site at the end of each day. The best part about Trace is his honesty, integrity and reliability. He tells you the truth, he is open and honest in all aspects of the work, and when he says he is going to do something, he does it. It was a privilege to work with Trace and we will hire him again in an instant. We highly recommend him to anyone considering a remodel job. He is the best!
