Advanced Air and Heat

Be aware of this ripoff company. A technician came to my house to do the maintenance of my air condition which I had purchased from Air Advance 6 years ago. Same name but a different company. Apparently the fee was going to be $49. The kid was accompanied by a sales person who was looking for a chance to sell me a new AC. It seems to be their business style and was a complete set up. They told me that the maintenance couldn't be done because the capacitor and the motor were broken. Apparently the broken piece was covered under the warranty by Daikin but the labor was not. At the end they never did the maintenance but charged me $500 for a 10 minutes job. They did not install the original capacitor from Daikin as I was being told but a Chinese no name brand product which costs $11 on Amazon. I have the proof. I forgot to mention that the technician arrived drunk. With his boozy breath he also told me the motor was spinning the wrong direction (!) and also needed to be replaced which would add another cost of $800. He said he would order it the next day. When I called the office they were unaware of a broken motor. Of course the manager never called me back. This company is dishonest and unserious. The $49 maintenance fee is just the bait to force you into paying for excessive labor.

BEWARE! I've been resident in New Smyrna Beach since 2004 and was very familiar with Advanced Air & Heat and they were well regarded but not any more. My heat wasn't working during a cold snap and they diagnosed multiple problems, unit was leaking and indoor air handler had bad controller. Unit needed to be replaced to the tune of $1300. That just seemed very high for a 2-ton system. I called company who installed the unit and they came out and the ONLY ISSUE was the thermostat wasn't set correctly and had somehow been changed to heat pump which I didn't have. They checked the entire system and it wasn't leaking and they had no clue what the controller was about as the air handler didn't have one. Well it's been 5 months since then and the system has worked perfectly to this day. Advanced Air & Heat sent 3 techs out during that visit and they all agreed the system was shot. I've come to find out that this is not the same family run business anymore and has been bought by a larger corporation and just trading off the good name they USED TO have. This is like inviting thieves into your home to take advantage of you and they have no problem doing it. Be Warned!

Refused to honor manufacturer’s warranty on equipment they sold me. Salesmen would not return my calls when calling to try to figure out why. This used to be a reputable company and I had purchased many units from them but can no longer recommend them since they were bought out by Southern Home Services. Zero stars until they can make things right.

I had a hot water heater installed, it was scratched an dented. 4 hours after installation no hot water. Called at 6 pm for service at 10 pm no show no call. Called back they said they have no notes of a service call. They put in another an was going to have the on call technician call back. Now 11:45 an no call no show. Called back again they said they don’t have anybody available after hours. Horrible customer service

Terrible company. Do not use them. They say they will call back and if they do at all its days later. They were out in February and said we had an a/c leak and needed an evaporator coil, so they filled it to get it going and ordered the part and made us pay for the labor but now almost 6 weeks later still no part and the a/c is out again and will not even offer another temporary solution. This is for a 95 year old woman. Now they say they will have someone call me Monday. STAY AWAY.

Sales person sold my wife and I a new unit four years ago. Since that time we have been plagued with continued service calls due to a defective coil Advance Air and Heating must have been aware that my unit had been discontinued due to warranty issues a pending class action suit being filed against the manufacturer due to issues with the coil. Further more, manufacturer had advised against this particular unit sold in areas of the country that experiences high humidity.

The team showed up quickly & on time. They easily diagnosed the problem & had us back up & running in short order. Great job! Will definitely hire them again!

Bathroom faucet installation

Showed up and reviewed the non operating generator. Gave me two options 1) New battery and additional service with no guarantee that would solve the problem for =/- $1200., or 2) replace the generator for $6300.00. I called another company for a second opinion. They came out the next day, reconnected the wiring, hooked up a battery, which he had to take out of his truck, and after testing informed me that replacing my dead battery would take care of my problem. He was here the next day, replaced the battery, and for less than $500.00 I am up and running. Also I agreed to an annual service contract for about 1/2 what I was quoted by Advance. My advise is definitely get a second opinion.

Advanced Heat and Air is the best, period. I had an A/C problem at my house in Daytona Beach. I called and arranged an appointment with Advanced Air and Heat. The next day through some confusion on my part, not on the part of Advanced Air and Heat, I wound up having another company's technician show up at my house. That company was a pure sham and tried to sell me a new air conditioner, actually showed fake photos to try and convince me I needed a new air conditioner, and scheduled an install. Fortunately, a few minutes later Mike Cooper from Advanced Air and Heat showed up. He assessed the situation, said I didn't need a new air conditioner, but had a plugged condensate drain. He fixed that and I subsequently found out he had communicated with the other company whom he called out about being a blight on the air conditioning industry. Mike's professionalism was evident.. 3 months later I needed more work on the air conditioner. I called Mike directly and he took the initiative to call the office, have me put on his service schedule, and then came out within an hour. An electrical problem with the utility company had fried the transformer. He had the unit working within another hour. Mike is dedicated, trustworthy and a pleasure to deal with. I can't recall another company providing better customer service, and showing a stronger commitment to honest dealing with their customers. Mike Cooper and Advanced Heat and Air are the best, period.

Very well , they called here in very short time and took care of the problem the next day. Very pleasant and professional. I would hire them again.

I called late afternoon for service and within a few hours someone was here. I can't believe how quickly they got here and how quickly they diagnosed and fixed the problem with my AC. Their prices are very reasonable too. Chuck was our service person who did a great job repairing our unit. The problem, thankfully, was with our air handler and not the compressor. It was fixed within 1/2 hour and is running great, once again!

Not only on time but before schedule Chris and Lou came bright and early on a Sunday morning completed the job by early afternoon by 1 o'clock they were done half a days work been completed everything working! I would definitely recommend this company and these people to EVERYONE! Professional, very courteous and extremely patient they explained everything to me they even gave me a discount because the outside heat pump casing had a small dent at the bottom they gave me the choice to replace it with another one but I decided to keep it and they even gave me a discount . FAIR, HONEST, RELIABLE,PATIENT, KIND, EVERYTHING YOU THOUGHT WAS GONE ETHIALLY IN TODAYS CONTRACTORS THEY HAVE ! Restored my faith that there really is still RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS WHO CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS! Thank you ADVANCED AIR AND HEAT !

The duct work and all was fine, it was just the combined unit outside, the compressor and the heat coil that needed to be replaced. It was the original system and we had just bought the house and just moved in so it needed a replacement right away. He came out and explained the product very well with the brochures and stuff and talked about the company that made the product and very upfront and open and very easy to understand, good presentation. The whole nine yards.

They are very professional. They offer a great warranty on their system installed. Not only do they backup they factory warranty of 3 years, they also offer an extended warranty of 12 years for a real reasonable price. That's parts, labor, freon, everything. I would say if you want a reasonable deal for a good product, use these guys. It took about a full day. They came first thing in the morning about 8 o'clock and were done about 2 or 3. Communication was very good. they let me know when they were going to leave for lunch. They were back when they said they would come back. They explained everything about the thermostat when they did the thermostat install. It was very good communication.

The lady who answered the phone on Saturday afternoon was kind and understanding. She was able to schedule a technician to come out first thing Sunday morning. The technician, Mike, was not only punctual, he came a bit early. He explained what was wrong and what needed to be repaired and didn't talk down to me. He even listened while my daughter told him all about the kittens we have with patience and chatted with her. He was friendly and a pleasure to deal with. He diagnosed the issue quickly, replaced the failing part and had us up and running in no time. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing an air conditioner repair.

This is the only A/C company that we have used. They are the ones that put the air conditioner in to begin with some years ago before we bought the place.  They tested everything. Everything was fine.
